I've stayed at the downtown inn twice now, and although it is simple and no-frills, its location in the heart of downtown more than makes up for that. It's hard to find a better monetary value for a room anywhere in Asheville, let alone this close to the thick of things.

Solid overall. Great view of the city. Only real downside is if you have obnoxious neighbors they will keep you up until 3-4am.
