The Filling Station of Black Mountain; 3BR/1BA -Newly added daybed in sunroom!

This historic Black Mountain beauty is only 15 minutes from downtown Asheville, less than 1 mile from downtown Black Mountain, with miles of hiking and biking trails to explore and enjoy! Take advantage of our well stocked kitchen, sit in the spacious living room furnished with a Smart TV and brand new sectional sofa or relax in the sunroom on the newly added daybed. The home is updated with modern conveniences, yet holds historic beauty, with high ceilings and abundant exposure to natural sunlight.
There are three bedrooms, 2 of which are adjacent with a door separating, with a bathroom in the hallway leading to the 3rd bedroom. There are 2 queen bedrooms, with a twin in the third, each furnished with organic cotton bedding for your comfort.
The bathroom has high ceilings and a window, allowing lots of light, with a large walk-in shower. Body wash, shampoo/conditioner are all provided.
Guests have full access to the upstairs portion of the building, as well as the spacious grounds to play in or relax and enjoy! Sit and swing on our free standing swing amongst the beautiful spring flowers or sit and chat at our outdoor table and chairs sitting in the yard. Enjoy the outdoor stone fire pit with Adirondack chairs, grill and picnic table. We have a super quite long-term tenant who occupies the bottom half of the home.
We do not live on the property, but are available by text 24/7 and live close by if our guests need anything during their stay.

The unit is on the second floor. It is very tasteful, spacious, and comfortable. The kitchen is large with a cute dinette that my granddaughter loved. The dining are and living room are spacious. The front porch is bright and airy with a day bed. The 2 bedrooms have very comfortable beds and the small bedroom is also comfortable. The bathroom shower is huge. All in all it was perfect!!!

The Filling Station was very clean, well decorated, comfortable beds, and great to stay in for a long weekend for our Women’s Connection at Montreat, an 11 minute easy drive. Lacy is a very responsive host for any questions that come up. Highly recommended!

Such a lovely spot

Our family enjoyed the accommodations, very cute and nicely decorated rooms. It had everything we needed. It was close to where we needed to be daily. Great communication with Lacy, she is super friendly and kind and understanding. Would recommend and hope to stay there again! Only one difficulty was when we would try to turn left from the Tabernacle Rd on to Old US 70, very poor visibility and we got a couple close calls with people flying around the corner. We had to change our route due to safety with kids. Otherwise everything was close and some great local shops and coffee places.

We liked the spacious upstairs and porches, and the kitchen was great. The wood floor squeaked when we walked, which would be a problem more for those downstairs. There were only 3 dinning room chairs, but the booth in the kitchen was great. One of the double beds was a bit of a deep-valley bed.

Filling Station Stay

Very cute older home top floor! Large kitchen for the unit, nice retro feel. Plenty of seating in the living room. Very close to Highland Farms Retirement Center - nice quiet area to walk every morning. Easy in/out to Black Mountain or Asheville. Would definitely recommend for a couple or small family. There is only one bathroom which is tight (a one butt bathroom!), but plenty of cubby holes for your toiletries, and the shower is good size. A/C worked well. Would recommend my favorite breakfast place Blue Ridge Biscuit Co! We will be back...
