Decent and Quiet Outside of Town

Great location outside of town with a nice view of the Columbia River. The room didn’t have AC so it got hot and humid at night. However, they did provide a fan to help minimize the temperature as much as possible. The breakfast provided was decent and basic. Regardless, I would stay here again.

This is a very nice place to stay in Astoria. Staff does an excellent job. I had a minor problem with the drain in bathroom sink they immediately had maintenance in and fixed the problem. The only area I feel needs improvement is they need to start to renovate the rooms to improve overall habitability. This could be done one building at a time to avoid closing down the entire facility. This would soon make the facility a top-notch place in Astoria. The spectacular views are a great selling point for the customers as well. I would be glad to return in the future after renovations are finished.

This is a very nice location right on the mouth of the Columbia River. The views from the room and common area were wonderful. I met the owner who shared with me his vision to make the Astoria Crest a resort destination.

The walls are very very very thin. I’d say an ok place to stay if you have good neighbors. We had the unfortunate experience of being in the room next to a sick person that was up coughing and vomiting and we could hear every word that was said all night. They were not speaking loudly…Also another negative is we were early to the motel because of inclement weather and the room was ready but they wanted an extra fee to check in early. I feel like this is something simple that could have easily have been a positive but instead it was a negative. We did like the view and the hot tub was great.

Quiet with great view

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Astoria Crest. It was quiet and had a beautiful view. The front desk girl was amazing and gave great recommendations for food in the area. We will be back!

The property and view are nice, but I paid $266.00 for one night for a bad smelling room. I actually had to go to the store and get a scented candle. I understand they are pet friendly rooms, but they are terribly outdated. I was also charged a $25 per pet fee that I was not expecting because their website says its $15. When I asked them why I was charged $25, they said that was the fee and were not willing to honor what their website says. I've stayed there a few times and until now have always been happy. The view is great, but there are less expensive hotels with views that are equally impressive and hopefully better customer service.

Beautiful location but the property is dilapidated. Sheets had stains on them and the bathroom smelled like mildew. Hot tub was nice and the views made the dinginess tolerable. If the owners put some money into this place they would have an amazing facility.

Everything was great as far as service and cleanliness, the lady at the front desk was wonderful, but when I checked in I checked in early and had to pay a fee even though the room was quote, “all ready to go.” So it makes no sense why I would need to pay more for I room I’ve already paid for. The policy also did not allow people to access their room early even if it was ready and had been paid for. Pretty silly stretch for 25 more bucks. I would recommend letting people access their rooms if it is cleaned and ready and has been booked and paid for In advance even if it is before the exact check in time.

It is your basic Motel but sits back enough away from the Highway to be quiet. No elevator for those of us with disability however, they offered a ground room upon arrival. I opted to stay on second floor as the steps up were spaced far enough apart as to not be too steep. All in all, was a wonderful overnight stay!
