Ă propos du quartier
Babb
This is truly a hideaway. The property is out of town and very secluded. It looks like a metal building - which it is - but the rooms are nice. Ours even had a little electric fireplace. Weâd stay again.
The BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT:
ââNO TVââ !!!!!
The room was excellent. BED WAS GREAT. Very comfortable. Got a good nights sleep. QUIET !!!
Biggest issue â NO TVâ. You need to fix that.
Looks like a horse stable in the middle of nowhere, but the rooms are clean and specious. Truly hidden away four miles down an unpaved road. Quiet and secluded. No shopping, no restaurants, nothing except a ranch in the neighborhood. But if you are looking for a place to stay near the east entrance to Glacier NP, this is one of the few choices that fills the bill. I recommend.
This place is quite nice overall though with some caveats. Location is quiet and not too far from Many Glacier park entrance. Nothing in the area nearby so itâs quiet but just a place to relax after leaving the park. Individual rooms off two corridors at either long side of the building. Nothing fancy but efficient. The AC units are window units at either end of the hallways so leaving the window open during the day allows the room to cool. A bit noisy to leave it open at night so rooms in mid portion of the building will be quieter but warmer. WiFi signal varies between locations in rooms and room to room but always seemed to be available. It is, however, very slow so one has to really temper oneâs expectations. Downloads can be an issue at the best of times so itâs kinda off the grid while not being totally so. Perhaps they have to use dial up connection from their router to the service provider due to the extremely rural nature of the property as I doubt cable gets there (no TV so it doesnât do that) and I saw no satellite dish.
Quality food options on the east side of the park are quite limited. Nothing remotely approaching fine dining or healthy eating (depending on your habits). Reviews of places also tend to be overly optimistic for St Maryâs locations and Babb area.
This is a fine place to stay for a couple nights. The beds are comfy & the shower is nice. There is a microwave available as well as a coffee maker. Our WiFi didnât work getting to this hideaway but the motel had WiFi and no tv.
Located in a farming area outside of Babb , and a couple of miles off the main highway and accessed by a decent gravel road . About 15 minutes from the two restaurants in the Babb area . Exterior of âmotelâvery unwelcoming on appearance, but room was clean , well appointed and the bed was comfortable . About 15 miles from Canadian border and less than an hour from Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta Canada. Also about an hour from East Glacier Village . Good accommodations at a reasonable cost if you want to visit each NP.
Waterton Lakes is incredible and not too crowded in mid August .
We stayed there for a total of 4 nights with 2 rooms/night as a family. Overall, it was a clean and comfortable place. Because there are no cell phone coverages, we needed to rely on their wifi, but the wifi was not reliable in some rooms. We had to buy breakfast groceries the day before because they do not provide. The room service is minimum. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the stay overall.
Doesnât look like much but was a cute lil hideaway. Staff made everything convenient, room and area was clean. The drive to and from has amazing views!! Could have used more outlets and an ice machine but we made due. Would stay here again!
Easy to find .. we got there late .. but check - in was prearranged and had no problems.
Had wood base around bottom of bed , hit my toes on that a few times .
The road to the property is unpaved, no street lights. Scare to drive at night. The environment around the area looks like just start or about to become civilized .
Family stayed here while on the east side of Glacier. Hotel was great for what it is. There is not a lot of options once outside the park. The hotel is out in the middle of nowhere but the rooms were clean and the staff very friendly. We would stay here again.
Hooks Hideaway is clean and comfortable with helpful staff. It's not a highway hotel, as the name suggests. The scenery is beautiful, and the grounds are well maintained. I spent a lot of time in the gazebo.
