I received an invoice from Hilton that was in error and called the number listed to the front desk. Spoke to a lady who was extremely rude. She repeatedly told me to work through Expedia on the error (even though the invoice came directly from Hilton). Zero accountability, and no desire to help. But I did contact Expedia, and they were extremely easy and great to work with, as always.

We had a late arrival at around 10:30ish. We asked the front desk for the DoubleTree cookies and they said they were all out, which was a shock. We've stayed at many DoubleTree Hotels throughout the years and never had this happen regardless of when we checked in. I know it's not a big thing, but it kind of is. Other than that, check in was pretty easy as it should be. We get our key and went up to the room. We opened the door and the room had the worst smell of marijuana as if someone just smoking pot in it!?! We stood inside for a couple of minutes looking at each other saying, is this real? We phoned the front desk, let them know what the issue was and they told us to stand outside the door and they would send someone up with a key to a new room. We went to the other room which had a very normal smell. I would say this might not be the best option if you need a hotel in Bakersfield.
