Large 2-bedroom 2-bath condo with major updates. This SugarTop condo unit is named Atlas Trace. Stunning Sunrise Views of Grandfather Mountain. Great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families with children.

Atlas Trace is a premium unit on the 10th Floor. The Top. Midway in the building, close enough to elevators but far enough away from noise.

SugarTop Resort is an Historical "One-Of-A-Kind" Mountain Top Getaway atop Sugar Mountain. Private. Gated. Residential Community. Not a Hotel!!

(NOTICE: SugarTop Resort has Decommissioned all wood burning fireplaces in All units due to antiquity and code. Wood Burning is now Prohibited.) Our fireplace is aesthetic only; locked due to a burn ban.

We individually own and operate our unit, complete with our own housekeeping staff. By being our special guests, you are granted Full access to all amenities available to us as owners.

SugarTop is not affiliated with Sugar Mountain Ski Resort. Our building overlooks Sugar Ski slopes as Neighbors atop Separate Summits. We are Not ski in-out. The ski lodge free parking area is apprx. 8-12 minutes from our resort complex, depending on traffic.

Atlas Trace is a travel-themed, 10th floor condo in the sky. You will feel welcomed and valued the moment you step inside. We maintain the highest standards possible for a clean and cozy condo.

You will be overlooking miles of the highland mountain ranges and valleys surrounding Grandfather Mountain and Linville Ridge. Moments away from the slopes, Banner Elk, and Boone.

Relax in your own scenic summit retreat with gorgeous vistas from every window. A large private balcony offers spectacular memory-making sunrises, sunsets, starlight, and cloud cover that will amaze you.

24-hour Gated Security & Front Desk Staff. Outdoor sunset deck and BBQ- picnic area. Plus all other amenities mentioned and pictured.

*Important Notes*

*Guests must disclose correct # of persons staying inside the condo. Anyone outside of your reservation will not be granted entry through the security gate without owner's permission. Extra person over 4 persons rate of $30 per person per night stay, applicable charge. 6 max allowed per unit.

*All guests park in Overflow below the top and take our complimentary Shuttle Van to and from parking. You're able to unload/load at Entrance during check in-check out. Parking is limited by Terrain and Resident occupancy status. 110 top parking spaces. 320 units. Top parking Is Not possible even for all Owners. Overflow is well-lit & monitored by 24-hour Security. Persons with Disability Plates receive precedence up top.

* NO AC.* SugarTop Complex and Atlas Trace. NO AC. Due to our mile-high elevation, summer evenings can be a bit chilly. Travelers come to escape the heat. During midday peak temps, simply open the windows & balcony door and enjoy the fresh mountain breezes. There are high-end ceiling fans in both bedrooms, and 2 nice portable fans for your comfort and convenience.

*Winter Months: All wheel drive vehicles, 4x4, or snow chains may be necessary for travel. This is ski country! Mountains make their own weather. Winter Booking presents Winter Wonderland! or Icy Conditions or Unseasonably Warm Weather. Weather Watch and Come Prepared. Order chains or cables prior to arrival. The area will sell out! SugarTop Resort maintains the road up to the Resort to the best of human ability.

*Ski Equipment is prohibited from the units and common areas of SugarTop. Items must be stored inside your vehicle.

Sugar Mountain Ski Resort runs a ski bus to slopes during peak season holidays & weekends. They stop at our Entry Gate. Visit: seesugar dot com /bus/ for Map. Dates & Times.

Lobby: 24-Hour desk staff. Cozy seating with a fireplace and floor to ceiling windows to enjoy the lovely view. Refreshing indoor heated swimming pool with poolside views of the slopes, 2 large hot tubs, fitness room, steam room, dry sauna, and shower locker rooms.

Everything in Atlas Trace is a modern update or a delightful vintage treasure, repurposed for your comfort and enjoyment.

Master bedroom has a queen bed, two USB charging nightstands, dresser, full closet, wall mounted TV, and private full bath.

Guest bedroom offers two twin beds, tall chest of drawers, full closet.
Hallway Guest full bath.

Living Room includes a sectional sofa, large armchair, funky-cool footstool with USB charging table lamp, full-tilt Lrg HD TV. (*Decommissioned Fireplace-No Wood Burning.) Aesthetic Only Fireplace; locked due to burn ban.)

Extra Guests: A deluxe queen-sized self-inflating airbed that sleeps 2 can also be provided with linens and pillows upon request.

All towels, bedding and linens are provided. Night Therapy mattresses with pillow tops and plenty of pillows, all with proper antimicrobial covers.

Upgrade amenity: Laundry room inside the unit, with a full-sized washer & dryer, hang-dry rod and laundry tub, ironing board and iron.

3x TV's: Large flat screen TV in the living room & both bedrooms. Private, High-speed 1gbt WiFi, reserved exclusively for the use of our guests. Standard Spectrum Cable.

A few games, nice books, and a collection of movies provided with a DVD connected to the living room TV. There is also a vintage 1980's stereo system for your listening pleasure.

The dining room seats 6 for meals. We’ve a handy craftsman bartop in the kitchen with 2 cushioned swivel stools. There's a vintage 1960's TV tray stand with 4 trays that can be used as laptop tables or dining trays in the living room.

Fully-stocked kitchen with full-sized appliances, 1100-watt microwave, New dishwasher, garbage disposal, Crux regular coffee maker, toaster, blender, tea kettle, tea infusers, Nice pots and pans, lovely dishes, drinkware, silverware, and a large assortment of kitchen utensils.

There’s a rolling bar cart that is stocked with vintage Vegas Style barware.

Mood lighting, wind chimes, and a collection of instrumental music CDs are provided for relaxation and romantic ambiance.

Condo needs updating. Dining table and coffee table was in very in shabby condition. Services and owners were great. Wonderful vacation. The area is great. I pray that it is good condition after the hurricane. Thank you for a nice vacation. Hope to go again.

Awesome!

Me, my daughter and her friend were there for a soccer tournament (we won the championship!!) and the place was perfect for us! The view was amazing! The girls and I loved it! It was so cute and the girls definitely lived their best lives! The staff was also amazing and helpful! The only thing I would say and it’s not a negative but the shuttle. I would have rather have been able to park in the lot right out front and not have to go back and forth with the shuttle. But the shuttle crew were super fast and friendly! :)

Another great stay!

This was my second stay at SugarTop. I love the views and the convenience. Close to everything. The condo is perfect for friends or family since it has a split plan. Nice sized kitchen and living/dining area. The security of the property is a big plus for me.

Amazing Views

The views from the balcony were amazing. It was very clean and very close to the ski resort. It was not a big problem for us, but keep in mind you will most likely have to take a shuttle to your vehicle if you stay during ski season. We highly recommend staying here.

We had reservations for three nights and only stayed two nights because we had no TV. The owner would not refund any payment--NO TV--we did have one awful channel Would never go back
