Paradise in Beijing
Pros:Friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful, clean rooms. Great food.
Cons:I loved every aspect.
Location:I was only in Beijing for 17 hours, but the beautiful neighborhood, Lily Ponds, walking bridges,& nice shops were right outside the front door.
It was 1 am, and after being sent to a different hotel for my layover (reserved by the airline), and finding it inhospitable (mice/rats/mosquitos/roaches!!!)...I went onto travelocity and found the Kempinski hotel and within minutes booked it and took a taxi there....it was a complete turnaround from the previous hotel!!!! I was so exhausted from my long travel, and the staff was so friendly, and helpful--the kind of customer service that is rare to find these days! I will always book here at this hotel if I go thru Beijing again, and look forward to recommending it to others. The rooms were pristinely clean, with organic ingredients in the beauty products, and many special touches, even in the less expensive room (which is what I reserved). Highly highly recommended, I guarantee you will enjoy the stay. The food was also heavenly; the ambiance, and environment really beautiful as well. I hope for a longer stay next time!
