Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
I booked multiple nights but could not stay for even 1 because of the following issues with the property:
1. Smoking - I requested a non-smoking room. The entire property reeks of cigarette smoke, they have no non-smoking rooms.
2. Cleanliness - I found insect droppings on the bed. Rooms that had not been cleaned. Weird stains in the cupboard either from moisture/mold damage or from general lack of maintenance.
3. Maintenance - I found loose electrical wires dangling outside the door and missing exterior lights. They had garbage and waste material lined up against the main stairs and clearly had been there for a while. The main security door is falling off the hinges and is a hazard. The water faucet in the room is non-functional and isn't even screwed in properly.
4. Communication - The property managers do not speak English or Kannada (local language) - only Hindi. The phone line is never attended, perhaps due to the language barrier.
5. Location - The property is at the dead-end of a narrow street with poor lights. Walking at night will be a hazard due to stray dogs and poor accessibility.
TLDR - The 3-star on Hotels.com is actually self-given and mean nothing. If you must stay here, please book 1-night and see for yourself if you want to continue staying there.
