Horrible. For the amount we paid for the weekend we expected better. Upon arrival there was a sign the pool and hot tub were out, the side door to get in the building had no lock on it, we entered the room to find no smoke detector, a broken bathroom door and a broken dresser, no screen on the window, and stains on both of the blankets and sheets of both beds. When brought that to the clerks attention he wasn't very helpful. The next morning after calling customer service the desk clerk was trying to help us. He was trying to get the manager to call us and sent maintenance in to put in a smoke detector later in the day. I understand that the hotel was under new management and construction but informing people on that on the website that would be helpful not at checkin. Saturday we waited around the hotel room until almost 2pm waiting on a call from the manager. We wasted the day waiting so we left. Still no call all day. Sunday we went to check out at 10am and still no phone call from the manager. The desk clerk was very apologetic and said he tried numerous times to contact her. We left with no phone call, nothing from the manager. Management needs to do better.

We booked a jacuzzi room for an extended Valentine’s weekend. The room was clean, comfortable bed, and as pictured. The staff was nice & helpful. Our only complaint is that we were wanting to enjoy the pool. It was shut down for a complete renovation. We wouldnt hesitate to wtay again.

The exterior door near our room was unlocked meaning anyone could enter the hotel anytime day or night. The front desk did not have staff at reception-you had to call to request help or have someone come to the front desk. Our room had all the basics covered. The decor could a use a refresh, but it was clean which matters more imo. The property says it accepts dogs for $25 a night which is why we decided to stay there. There was no place on the reservation to state you would be traveling with a pet or the hotel's rule that you can’t leave your dog alone in the room. We let the property know we needed a pet friendly room when we preregistered, but the hotel said they didn’t receive the info. When we arrived, We were informed that if we left the pet in the room and people complained they would call the pound and have the dog removed. I get the feeling they have had issues in the past with guests and their dogs and have had to be heavy handed in response. We stayed a month at a Baymont in Florida this summer and the property and staff were so accommodating toward our pet it was just very surprising how this property reacted. If you are bringing a pet, I would call in advance. The low rating is predominantly because the lack of staff presence and unlocked and insecure entries.
