Lake House Retreat with a Pool

Unwind with family and friends as you overlook the beautiful scenery of Lake Chapin. This southwestern Michigan retreat offers abundant indoor and outdoor living space for the whole family.

This lakefront retreat offers everything you need for the perfect getaway—swim, fish, kayak, or leap off the dock right from your backyard. Enjoy your own private in-ground pool with sweeping lake views, open from Memorial Day weekend through September 30. Two spacious decks span the back of the home, ideal for outdoor dining, relaxing with family, or soaking in unforgettable sunsets over the water. Guests are also welcome to park their personal boat at the dock in the backyard, or rent a boat from a local vendor.

The home's 1st floor offers a modern kitchen fully stocked with all cookware, utensils, coffee maker, crock pot, Keurig, etc. The 1st floor also includes a formal dining room, two separate living room areas with two smart TVs ready to connect to your streaming service and a bedroom with queen bed with a lake view and slider doors to the deck. The 2nd floor offers a master bedroom w/ a full bathroom, a bedroom with a queen bed, a separate full bathroom, and a kid's room with bunk beds, trundle bed and twin bed. The basement offers a secondary master bedroom w/ a full bathroom and a recreation room. The recreation room includes a pool table, Simpsons Arcade Game for 4 players, a couch, and a TV. Both the basement master bedroom and rec room have doors that lead out to the lower deck and pool.

Among the many tourist attractions in southwestern Michigan, this property is located within a 20-30 minute driving distance to over a dozen of Michigan's best wineries open year round. Guests can explore the various wineries, sign up for a local wine tour, or hire a local driver service to take you to the wineries you want to go.

The house location also sits in close proximity to some of the best southwestern Michigan beaches, state parks, breweries, distilleries, golf course, farmers markets, and fresh produce picking.

This rental was perfect for our girls trip! The house has a great layout with multiple areas that work well for hanging out, playing games, and catching up. Our only suggestion would be more hooks in the bathrooms to hang clothes etc. The location worked well - it was an easy drive to St Joseph and New Buffalo. Thank you for a pleasant experience!

The house and amenities are exactly as described. It is beautiful! Great place to relax with a large family or cohort of friends. Plenty of space to spread out and gather together. It was clean and comfortable. Lots of options for bedrooms and beds. Decks and Landscaping are beautiful. We did not have the opportunity to enjoy the pool (we were too busy), but it was clean and well kept. Communication with the hosts was easy and seamless. Super Nice Place! Next time we are in the area, we will stay here again!

The home was wonderful & the pool, kitchen, firepit and game room amenities was outstanding. The double deck really set if off. We checked out KJC Atv rental, renting quads which added more fun to our stay. The host even left a welcome card which I thought was so thoughtful & nice.

Light out in lower basement bathroom over sink, drawers in dresser not working well otherwise room was comfortable with ample storage. Need to update instruction book since trash was to be taken out on Wednesday not Thursday as listed. Steps to pool area are dangerous for elderly. Otherwise enjoyable 4 day stay. Thanks

Great property for our annual family reunion. Our grandkids really enjoyed the pool! I also was able to bring a pontoon boat and keep it at the dock. Lake Chapin was quiet , good for cruises and tubing. The large driveway was a plus as it could accommodate my boat trailer and vehicle without having to unhook. Having two dryers was also a plus as we had our own beach towels to manage on a daily basis. The location is somewhat distant from the local towns for quick runs to a store or restaurant but overall a really great place. The host Mike was very good with info and local guidance. Would stay here again!

Beautiful stay

Thank you for the wonderful stay! We loved the house. It was great having all the space we needed for our large family party. We loved all the fun games in the basement, and even had a great day in the pool when it was sunny! Fishing off the dock was a trip highlight. My only caveat is that the lake is more like a larger river. Some of my family members wanted to go swimming but it wasn’t really conducive to that. But it would be a great spot for a kayak or small fishing boat! Thank you again to our incredible hosts.

Weekend away

Had a wonderful time.the house is lovely and in a great location. We had 8 adults and there was plenty of room for all. The kitchen was well stocked and made cooking and socializing easy. We didn't have the best weather so the fact that we could enjoy each others company indoors, play games etc without feeling overly crowded was a plus. Neighbor was quiet.

Family getaway

Met my sibling and his family here for a little family getaway. The house was clean and spacious. There was plenty of room for 4 adults and 4 kids to spread out. The kitchen was stocked with anll the supplies we needed to cook for our families. Unfortunately, we were there on a very stormy week and only got to use the pool for a couple hours one morning. The kids did have a blast though! We squeezed in some berry picking between rains and explored the little local shops. It was a cute little area! Would love to come visit again when the weather is better so we can really take advantage of all the great things the home has to offer!
