Good house, Bad neighbor

Everything worked out great except the neighbor at 432 Temple screamed at us for no apparent reason while we were sledding on the driveway with our young children. Very unsettling. She needs a mental health check.

4/10 Poor

2 night stay

The house was extremely dusty. The tv controls had no working batteries and the ones in a drawer were covered by oxidation. The outdoor area around the jacuzzi was dirty and covered by leaves. At that high price we expect to find a well maintained house or cabin with no dish at all. It was not like that. The garage was filled by a lot of objects and a left over door. The garage drywalls were not painted and the overall garage cleanness was a disaster.

Wouldn't go back

Me and some friends stayed for a ski trip. We wanted a place with a hot tub and some other activities to do around the house at night so we picked this place. We payed more then we wanted but decided it was worth it to have the tub, Foosball, bumper pool, and plenty of room. But the Foosball table had ping-pong balls, which seems like a petty thing to complain about but ping-pong balls are so bouncy you can't play. Pool table was missing balls so couldn't play. The hot tube didn't have working jets, would overheat when it got to about 98 degrees and turn off so couldn't really use, and there's a camera pointing at it. Which I get is for security but still kind of uncomfortable to be sitting in a hot tub knowing sombody could be watching you. Heat on the 2nd floor didn't work either. There were no batteries in any of the remotes either, which again is a petty thing to bring up on its own but with everything else it was pretty annoying. As we were there to shred, we just shrugged everything off, but this place is way over priced for the condition everything is in and I wouldn't go back. The company running the rental, Cool Cabins was good though. Check in/out was easy, fast to respond, and nice. I would stay at a place managed by them again. But you can get a much better place closer to the mountain for less money. Go to that place, not this one.

Tons of problems

The location was nice. The backyard was great for the kids. But other than that there are TONS of problems. This house should not be on a vacation rental list at all. The owners need to put some money into this place before renting it out. The list goes on and on for issues we faced. The biggest issue being that the upstairs heater did not work. We were freezing the entire time. We pulled out the extra blankets and they were dirty. We called the office and they fixed it the first time but it stopped working again and the second time they could not fix it. We also had to call to get the jacuzzi unlocked, muddy bath mats,, fix a breaker (which ALSO could not be fixed), Just spent a lot of time on our short weekend get away dealing with maintenance issues. It's really not fun staying in a house with no heater in the main living area and no heater or electricity in the room where you are supposed to sleep in the middle of Feb. I would NOT recommend this place.

amazing home... HORRIBLE neighbor!!!!

Me and my family stayed here, and we were having a great time, and we are all adults over 21 and around 9pm we went out to the backyard for a cigarette and a beer before heading inside to watch a movie and the neighbor at 432 temple grabbed a bullhorn and bright light and told us we were out past curfew and was going to call security and DID, around 945 a police came up and said she told him he needed to check out this home. he apologized and said he felt she was being very ridiculous, the next morning she was taking pictures and starring at the backyard where me and my brother were building a snowman felt very unpleasant. point is house was beautiful and great, she needs mental help.

Nice property but needs some upkeep

This is a lovely cabin but it needs some maintenance and more thorough cleaning. We found drug paraphernalia in hot tub when my kids first used it, the washing machine broke and leaked water on the floor and the repair man was unable to fix it, the TV remote has no backing so the batteries intermittently lose connection making the remote not work, the garage door remote is broken and there is a broken pot in the main room. We informed the property managers and VRBO who gave us a small refund for our troubles.

Big Bear Fun

Overall, the property looks like the description. It is a somewhat newly remodeled 2 story home located near the marina, village and mountains. It was really convenient for all the activities we had planned. The house has 2 rooms and a bathroom on the first level, and 2 rooms + 1 bath on the second level. The first level game area was fun and we all enjoyed it. The 2nd level also had the main seating area, kitchen and dining area. The hot tub was located off the 2nd floor balcony. For the most part, everything you would need was available at the house. There is no air conditioning and it did get a little hot during the day, and even at night. They do have fans available, so I highly recommend using them. There are alot of windows so the place is open and feels bright. We had an issue with the clothes washer that the property manager fixed immediately. The cabin does not have cable, so you will need to figure out how to navigate through Roku with one controller for both TV's. Overall, we had a great time, would likely return, and would recommend to others. The property manager was very helpful and responsive as well. We enjoyed a pontoon and jet skis on the lake and rented bikes to ride around the lake and do some mountain biking. A nice change from our typical vacation.

Great cabin for our family trip!

Excellent service and they were very quick to respond to any request we had. When we arrived We could tell the spa had not been serviced since the last guest and called the office. Within an hour they had the maintenance guy there to service it and he was nice and did a very good job servicing the spa. We also needed a propane tank and we called and they gave us the option of going to get it from the office that was less than 1 mile away or they could send someone but it was going to be about 2 hours. We were more than happy to go get it as it was so close. We would definitely recommend this cabin!
