Conveniently located. There is a public shuttle nearby that goes to Snow Summit. 5 min drive. NOTE: Expedia is not conspicuous in their presentation of the parking fee of $20/night at the hotel that is not in the Expedia cost quote. I’m sure I’m not the only guest that discovers that at checkin. Makes the front desk staff’s job harder than it should be. I understand the hotel’s site does present this but I didnt check. All I know it’s it’s buried a couple of clicks in on Expedia, it’s not prominently disclosed, and it’s not in the hotel stay quote. I think that is disingenuous since there is about a zero likelihood someone would come to this location without a vehicle.

Hotel was fine. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good and the little extras are nice. Beds were not comfortable to sleep more than one in. Reserved room with a tub. Also noted in comments when booking. Did not get tub. I have arthritis and a shower doesn’t cut in when you just need to soak at the end of the day. Second time with hotels.com where hotels did not give a tub when booking a room that was listed as having one and asked for in notes. Hotel blamed it on hotels.com. We left a day early because we wanted to get a good nights rest and the beds and loud noises from rooms above us wasn’t working.

The staff was not very helpful. Only one member was helpful with restaurant recs and small talk, but when we left for the day and our room wasn’t cleaned, we had to wait an hour in the lobby to have that taken care of. We left in the morning and told the front desk our room was ready for cleaning. They told us they only do sheets and towels. For the exorbitant price tag for this 2 star hotel, I told them I needed a full cleaning. They agreed, but then didn’t do it until we got back to a room left just as it was that morning. We wanted to rest, but this hotel made it impossible. The breakfast was mid at best and the guests left every common area very dirty. Done with Hampton inn and big bear. Not worth the money.

When I arrived at the hotel at 6 PM, I was very disappointed to find that my room was not ready, even though check-in time was listed as 3 PM. To make matters worse, there were five other guests ahead of me also waiting for their rooms. This was extremely frustrating and left me with a poor first impression of your service. Would you like me to help draft a more formal complaint or letter to the hotel?

The staff requested $50 for my family to check in 1 hour early, which was 2pm. We declined and returned an hour later for the initial 3pm check in time. Our room was not ready until later that evening due to a shortage of cleaning staff. Therefore my overall stay was shorter as a result of the housekeeping staffing issue. Not a great experience at all as far as customer service, the staff did nothing to remedy this inconvenience.
