Location is convenient and puts you fairly central in Big Bear Lake. Kitchen is nice and has nice appliances. Rooms are spacious. Deck and outside area is tired and needs some attention. Biggest gripe is the showers
they are not great. Water pressure, temp and operation are not good at all. Easily can scald, and can’t hold consistent temp or water flow. After a long day outdoors, having good showers is something that most people would want at a cabin. Kids enjoyed the pool table, but it is also in very poor condition and cheap (so light it moves when kids play). Overall, we had a good stay
but the property needs attention to truly be considered “luxury”.

Birthday Celebration!

This home was perfect! There were 4 adults and 3 boys (11 years old, 9 years old and 6 year old.). We had the best time. Cooked most our meals at the house. Played pool, took a walk around the property, drive to the downtown area for trick or treating. Played games, watched movies. Easy to get to and just as described!

Great Location; Nice House

The house is clean and comfortable. It’s nice and modern. Our daughter loved the swing. The location is perfect. There were two issues though. First, the beds have a memory foam mattresses that just didn’t work for us. Second, I didn’t understand why they wouldn’t supply Kleenex boxes. That was a minor annoyance. Otherwise, it’s hard to do much better in Big Bear.

Disappointing

I want to as objective as possible so will break it down in the following way. 1. The property itself was charming and updated inside which was nice. There is a good amount of space for a family as I had 3 kids with me 12-15/boys and girls. We enjoyed the pool table and the location to everything. 2. Unfortunately as it relates to cleanliness the property management company did a poor job of getting the house ready as there was long black hair all over the master bathroom, nasty, and I know it’s not mine as I’m bold. 3. Functionality of the property was subpar, the internet connection doesn’t stretch well to the master bedroom thus making streaming on the TV in there less than ideal with constant freezes/buffering. The hot tub cover was broken, somehow the foam inside snapped, probably from the weight of the water sitting on top of it as it’s too close to the run off from the roof. Not only was the cover broken it was water logged making it weigh several hundred pounds and impossible for my kids and I to take off/put on, which led to our limited ability to use the hot tub which basically sucked because this was one of the reasons we rented the house. 4. Functionality continued, when we arrived the drive way wasn’t fully shoveled after a 2” snow storm nor was the deck and steps leading to the hot tub. As such I shoveled the drive way, deck and steps so my kids and I wouldn’t break our necks when the snow melted and turned to black ice. I think I made my points!

Beautifully Remodeled and Clean

This cabin was in a wonderful spot within walking distance (less than a mile) of both the Village and Snow Summit. The only issue we had is that the hot tub would not get warm. Otherwise a wonderful place.

Great Location & Property. Missing a few touches.

The location is perfect. Minutes from all the good spot in Big Bear. Overall the house was tidy, comfortable, and the spa and pool table were fun. Our kids loved the bunk beds and the sofa is super comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again. My only comments are that it was missing some touches. Like there were two coffee makers but no coffee. Had a washer/dryer but no detergent. No tissues or napkins (had paper towels). None of these are huge deals but every other rental we have ever stayed in supplied these (especially in this price point) or noted that they didn't and the renter should bring them.

Wonderful Spring Break!

We loved our stay at Knickerbocker Nest. The location of the home is walkable to town and the neighborhood is peacful and quiet. The house was equipt with everything we needed for our stay and beautifully decorated. The downstairs get super cold but luckily we had extra blankets. We will return for sure!

Updated House with Fantastic Layout

The house has been thoroughly renovated from its original design to an efficient 3 bed 2 bath with an expansive wraparound deck. The main floor is spacious with big sliding doors to the front and back balcony/decks. The 2 bigger bedrooms are big enough for couples and the 3rd room with double bunk beds is small but small kids won't mind. A couple drawbacks: kitchen cabinets are missing handles and knobs (odd for a fully renovated kitchen), the laminate flooring is starting to come part in various spots (we had to pound a nail back down), and one of the sinks in the master bath vanity broke during our stay (it was under-mounted with glue but no framing). Overall, we still like the house and would consider staying here again; especially with it being walking distance to Town Trail.

Mountain getaway dream house

This property was everything the pictures show and more. Not only was it stunning on the inside the location was equally beautiful. We’ve stayed at a number of VRBO properties and this one was by far the favorite. Even my teenagers were raving about it the entire way home. Can’t wait to visit again!

Awesome location, and clean modern house

We loved this house. The location is great, very close to Snow Summit, and also the house is just a short walk from a good sledding area. The inside of the house is nicely decorated, (no bath-tub though) but we loved the bunk beds, all the bedrooms and the mud-room to keep our ski stuff.

Pleasant weekend stay

We stayed at the cabin over the weekend and was very happy about this property. We loved the interior decor and were very happy to find this cabin was well-stocked to meet all our needs! The location was also very convenient. I would book again.
