Spanning 2,400 sq ft, the home features a large family room with vaulted wood ceilings and a dramatic floor-to-ceiling red brick fireplace. The open layout includes a dining table, bar seating, ceiling fans, and ample seating for everyone to relax and enjoy.

First off, we loved this cabin as it is well stocked, beautifully decorated and felt like home. The property management had no confidence in the 4pm check-in time because guests were checking out that morning. We had to contact property management after check-in time, notify them that the place appeared to be vacant, they had to contact their cleaning and maintenance crew, and then they granted us access, while we sat in the car during a snow storm. The fridge's ice machine and filtered water were not working, and the expired filter light was on. We contacted property management right away, and had to contact them again the next day as nobody showed up during their promised timeframe of coming to inspect it. A maintenance guy finally showed up and we had to communicate with him via a Spanish-to-English translator App. He indicated that he would be back that evening with a new water filter. We never heard from him nor the property management office regarding this problem again. The only time we heard from property management again was when they started giving us check-out information four days later. Had the property management booked this property in a manner that they could confidently provide access to the cabin at the Listed check-in time, the ice and filtered water been working/addressed with feedback if there were complications, and been no lack of communication during the critical points mentioned in this review, this would have been a glowing 5-star review.

Great house, poorly managed

First and foremost, we had no problems with the property itself. Great location, modern and comfy interior. Anyone who stays at this home will be satisfied. Our issues were with the property management company. Check-in: Regardless of the fact that we made several pleas, the office was not willing to accommodate our many requests to go straight to the unit rather than go the office first for check-in. I would have been more than willing to drop my family off at the house, and return myself, but this was not allowed even though current reviews for the property suggest otherwise. Also, the office was dramatically understaffed and unprepared for the number of check-ins occurring that evening. I waited in a long line, outside in the rain, for approx one hour to be checked in. Smell & trash: Upon entering the unit, a clear and distinct smell of dog and animal urine permeated the residence. The master bedroom sheets and comforter were so bad, we stripped the bed and washed everything immediately. Washing the sheets helped, so one wonders how often this is done to begin with. We also had to deal with kitchen trash that had not been taken out and also smelled quite badly. This was the first call we needed to make to the office. Two people were sent, representing the first of many examples of poor communication and unnecessary interruptions during our stay. Fridge: we noticed that the fridge leaked water whenever the water dispenser was used. Fireplace: the instructions for the fireplace in the manual were incorrect. Chair: one of legs on the dining room table chair was broken. Heater: the heater stopped working and needed to be repaired during our stay. This was particularly difficult given the cold temperatures of the house, and the number of phone calls and service people this took to resolve. Dryer: dryer not drying. Again, more calls, more service people. Supplies: the house came very ill-equipped. One roll of paper towels, no extra toilet paper, not enough dishwasher or laundry detergent to even run the machines only once a day, one box of Kleenex. Staff were unprofessional and incredibly condescending in tone. every time I spoke with them, with a few exceptions. I would be happy to stay at this home again, but I will most likely avoid any property managed by Big Bear Cool Cabins.

Its strange that we have to wash the dishes and take away the trash before we leave. There should be a cleaning service that comes and does all of that. I won’t be using this company again because of all the clean up we are required to do, despite having had an amazing stay in a great cabin.

This cabin is delightful. Very clean. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need. I would return without hesitation. The only hiccup was I was told the cabin wasn’t ready and they would text me when it was. We drove to the house to look at it because we were excited and noticed that there wasn’t a cleaning crew there. I called and the lady on the phone gave me the code and we got in right away. I received a text over an hour later that We could check inđŸ˜” I’m glad we called when we did. Overall great cabin, book it!
