I'm not one who has to have the finest hotel with all of the great amenities. Usually when I go on vacation it's to be out of the room all day exploring and having fun. And I'm not one to leave bad reviews but this hotel does not deserve a good review. I stayed there one year ago and it was okay. Had no complaints but it looks like there are new owners and this place was pretty nasty. First of all when you open the door and walk in it had a very musty smell. Now the beds were comfortable and good water pressure and Lighting but the place is not clean. First I saw hairs on the lavatory like someone shaved and then the bathtub head hair everywhere. That wasn't a big deal. I can wipe up a little bit of hair but the big deal was when I turned the lights out to go to bed and forgot something and turn the light back on there was a big cockroach on the bathroom counter on the toothpaste tube. Then I looked around and noticed that the door had a huge crack around it like it didn't meet up to the wall and I'm sure that's how they come in. I went to the front desk and told them about it and asked them if they had any bug spray I was willing to spray it myself. The first girl I asked hardly responded and said no I don't think they have it. Then the second shift came in and I told her about it and ask for the bug spray and she did say that she was going to call the owner and ask him where it was. She also said well this is Mississippi like they were accustomed to getting complaints

Cons- Repairs need to be made. The repairs made were poor. Dead bug on the floor. Had a fly roaming the room the whole stay. Towels in bathroom were messy and not fold as I've experienced in other hotels. We were a group of 17, taking 4 rooms. Others experienced a room that was potent with the smell of weed. Went to front office twice. One person told us there were no other rooms and the next front desk person spoken to said "well, it's legal in Mississippi to smoke it". Pro- the property was kept up. The bed was comfortable. TV worked. Fridge worked. Breakfast was ok.

The property was very clean. However, the air conditioning was not very good. When I got there it was set it coolest setting but it was not cooling and never really did. We didn’t ask for a different room because I really didn’t want to have to move my stuff and it wasn’t so hot that it was unbearable but it was not cool as it should have been. I did report it when I checked out the next morning.

Property clean and close to the golden nugget. Cheaper then most places but definitely the sleeping quality isn’t the best but still isn’t horrible.
