El hotel está en reformas y durante nuestra estancia habia estancias aún en obras. No hay área para desayunar. Necesitan mejorar la cordinacion de los trabajadores. Mucho tiempo esperando para hacer el check in. Dieron nuestra llave a otra familia que intentó entrar en nuestra habitacion. No habiendo hecho aún el check out y faltando una hora aún para ello, el personal de limpieza entró a nuestra habitacion estando nosotros dentro.

Property under construction and dusty messy from construction. Shouldn’t be open yet for guests. Especially at $400 for one night. Room didn’t have updated climate control. It was too warm. No water refill stations or water in lobby. Housekeeping knocked on our door very early on our checkout morning and asked what time we would be leaving. So many better choices to stay in Boston!

Good location for exploring Boston. Easy access to public transit and very walkable. fabulous cafe (Farmer Horse) just around the corner. Lebanese restaurant within easy walking distance. Hotel under renovation; not great but our room was fairly far away from construction noise and mess by the reception area. Even our already updated room would require some additional attention. However, the room was clean and safe.

Not only was the heater not working but they had no solutions for it. Basically, deal with it until it’s fixed (which happened on night 3 of 3 nights). They also refused to give us drinking water because we wouldn’t allow them into our rooms. The staff (I only dealt with afternoon/night) lacked all manner of hospitality.

From the moment you walk in the Lobby it’s all torn up only about 10-15 rooms available in entire building. Safe in room but not working. Cold to warm water never hot for a shower. Supposedly remodeled room has so many unfinished items bathroom door sticks, difficult to open and close. No towel hangers by sink. Really bad finishes wonder if this was done by permit? Windows have condensation single pane cold. Several dips in floor uneven. Popcorn ceiling has been removed and replaced possible asbestos. Hope it was tested. Furnace vents filthy and extremely loud when turned on. Absolutely there is no way they have not gotten a permit or Certificate of Occupancy no construction permits posted anywhere in building. Dry wall and painting going on all over the hotel loud and very noisy. Everything out of order in main lobby bathrooms ice machine and signs do not touch wet walls. Sounds from room above abnormally loud. Possibly the contractors are sleeping there working 24/7? Will be calling the City of Boston to verify. This hotel should not be open it’s a complete shambles and all that were there should receive a refund. Simply not a hotel anyone would ever want to stay in. Will be expecting a FULL REFUND

October 2025:I stayed at the MidTown Hotel for 3 nights. BE ADVISED: currently, this hotel is a construction site. (When all the work is done, it will likely be quite nice). LOUD construction work begins on Sats.at 8:00 a.m. / Suns., 9:00 a.m. PROS: The finished room I was in was clean, quiet. Beds are good. Shower water pressure, good. CONS: BIGGIE: NO WiFi IN THE ROOM. I had WiFi connection in the lobby, the elevator and the hallway. The moment I crossed the threshhold into my room - it disappeared. I spoke to a young man at reception. He said yes, they have heard from guests that they're not getting WiFi in the rooms, and the hotel has discovered they need "to put in another tower". When I requested a price accommodation because of this, he said they couldn't do that, because the internet is working. (Even tho he had conceded the internet is not working). A ridiculous statement. Frustrating in the extreme. They advertise free WiFi in every room. NOT TRUE. • I have traveled solo all over the world, staying in a variety of places, but another "con": at night the doors of MANY of the rooms currently being renovated were left open & completely dark inside. As a woman alone, returning to my room late at night, this was unsettling and a little creepy. I didn't feel 100% safe. • The front desk staff seems to be inexperienced college kids, doing their best, but chaotic, poor communication skills, not professionals. I would urge others: SAVE YOUR MONEY stay elsewhere.

We were not informed that the whole hotel was under construction. We were also not informed the hotel did not have heat or hot water. The front desk attendant howeve, was very kind and friendly and managing all the unhappy guests very lovely. We were reimbursed after hotels verified with Midtown about the conditions.

The hotel lobby and guest floors were under renovation, and missing carpet in hallways. The elevator rivals the tower of terror at universal. The rooms had no heat for the entire 3 days of our stay in mid October sub 58 degree f weather.. No hot water for the 3 days of our stay. No television signal in first room. Jittery tv signal in second room. Despite the effort of the manager the owners refused to turn on the heat. This hotel should have been shutdown for the duration of the renovations. Aside from the well decorated and clean guest rooms, the place was unsuitable for guests.
