Even though there was a slide, the pool is incredibly small so you can’t do much swimming. There’s a homeless shelter right outside the front of the building and the tree s trash everywhere by the parking lot. Breakfast was pitiful for a continental breakfast - mostly cheap bread items and a fridge with items you can microwave (nothing my Celiac husband could really eat). The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Perhaps my expectations were too high since we were in Bozeman but I would not choose to stay here again.

Desk clerk seemed annoyed to have to work or help. His clothing was disheveled, no uniform, shirt inside out, pants showed underwear. Room had smoke smell in it. The hotel is across from a homeless shelter, neighborhood seemed very sketchy. No breakfast. Pictures and ratings are very misleading. Would not recommend this hotel.

Although other reviews mention being near a homeless encampment, they literally surround the parking lot and street that is next to the parking lot. The entire west side of the building looks out on these folks. The sad reality of the disproportionate income and housing expense gap in Bozeman. The TV in the room didn’t work (we didn’t contact the front desk-they didn’t seem overly eager to be helpful at check in). NO elevator- something I don’t recall being mentioned clearly when making the reservation-would be good to know. Room itself is dated, carpet questionable, large crack on the ceiling. The good?? Counter space in the bathroom.

The hotel is not located in a great area. It's across from a homeless shelter. The first floor is like a motel but the upstairs has doors facing an indoor hallway. The rooms were clean and well setup. The slide in the pool is the highlight for sure but the pool is very small. Overall it was OK, but certainly a bit concerned with the location and safety. All the staff I interacted with were very helpful and friendly. For a budget friendly hotel, it's a good option. Most hotels were in Bozeman were booked or very expensive.

I have stayed at economically-priced hotels, but I would not recommend this one. From my daughter and I having to carry sheets, pillows, pillow covers, blankets, and towels upstairs to my room, and making my own sofa bed, after I have indicated that we are 6 adults on the preregistration form that they asked me to fill out in advance!! I was told that the staff doesn't make the bed. Well, they should to at least cover the HORRIBLE STAINS on the dirty mattress. Pool and slide were CLOSED because they were broken, breakfast items running out, and when I asked if there was more, the rude response from the women at the front desk on morning of June 24th showed me that she hated her job or she envied the fact that we were on vacation and she was working!!! The carpet on the stairs and hallway were filthy. The room itself was clean, and the beds and pillows were comfortable, but it is definitely time to purchase new sofa beds (horrible). There was a large group of homeless people directly across the street with a fire going on the sidewalk for warmth, so I did not feel safe going back to my car in the parking lot alone. The gentleman cleaning the broken pool was the only kind employee we met during our stay.

Nice place

Matt was a great help with check in. Hotels com kept changing the amount of people in a room etc, so it caused some problems on the hotels end, but Matt was able to help with the problem. We liked the Jimmy Dean sausage sandwiches for breakfast.

Sketchy

There was a pretty big issue with the room. There was feces on the handicap rail and shower chair, urine all over the floor, a white substance all over the door jam, pills, food & misc other items under the bed and the room smelled like moldy urine. The floors were wet, and there were towels under the bed. Matt the front desk guy ended up having to clean the bathroom while GM Suzanne stood over him watching him do the work and trash talking another employee infront of my whole family. She was highly unprofessional. The day shift managers were great when I explained the situation to them. Wish they had been working the day we checked in.

This was not the worse hotel I’ve ever stayed in but it was close. Nothing felt truly clean but we stayed anyway due to no refundable reservations. There is a homeless shelter across the street which added to the undesirable location as there were homeless people all over the area. Hotel was loud. Would not recommend but managed for 1 night.

Many comments about homeless camp across the street. They did not impact our stay and did not interact with guests but does impact feeling of security. Hotel policies do not indicate a pet weight limit but when checking in had to sign that max weight was 25lbs (which appear to be common with Baymont). Fortunately they did not enforce the requirement or else we would have been stuck

First room we went in had bad smell, I’m assuming due to the smoking section not being far from the room. Talked to the concierge and they were able to move the room. Second one was better. Area outside the front of hotel has homeless camp but otherwise felt safe and secure where parking was located.

When we arrived, we immediately noticed that it was next-door to a homeless shelter. There were individuals who appeared to be living on hotel premises in tents, urinating in public, naked individuals on hotel premises, and police appearing to frequent there. Although the pictures looked nice and rated as family friendly, I would say the surrounding area is unsafe for that category. Ended up not checking in and going somewhere a little more friendly for children with safety as the motivating priority.

There is a warming center straight across the street and homeless people sleeping between sidewalk and curb. The check in staff, was terrible. A male checked us in, took 15 minutes and then gave us non-working keys and a dirty room that you could see through the window. Then when informing him, it took another 1/2 hour because he messed up the computer and the gal that was there couldn’t figure out what he did. I told them to just give me another room and figure it out later. The air unit didn’t work properly but I wasn’t going to go back to the front desk again. Front desk lady in the morning was very apologetic and said both the others were fairly new employees. The grounds keeper was doing a great job trying to keep the place looking good. Not there fault that the homeless center is across the street.
