Nice spot to relax

Cozy place to stay and sightsee out of. Hot tub was great. Ignitor on the grill was inoperable but lighters were available in the kitchen. Overall, good provision of dishes and cookware.

Enjoyed the stay

The property was nice, clean and had a good view. Easy walking trail very close was great and could hear blue river the entire hike. The hot tub was used every night by someone in our group of 7 and really enjoyed having that. I didn’t measure beds but I think there are two king and one of them if a queen. My only complaint is that the garage smelled terrible due to the trash can. I sprayed it with febreeze and that helped and property manager said they would get this taken care of. Overall great stay away from town but a quick drive when you want to go into town.

Cozy cabin

Good location with a nice view. Away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to get into town easily. Check-in process was easy. Plenty of space for our group of 4 adults and 2 kids. Enjoyed the hot tub, and appreciated that there were snow shoes on-site that we could use.

We had a good stay. We liked the location of the property. Kitchen utensils such as measuring cups and measuring spoons need to be replaced as there were only a few in the house. A mixer would also be nice as we fixed all our meals at the house. The property was clean. It suited our needs well.

Very comfortable home and great location

Perfect house for our family of 5 adults +2 year old. House was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the fireplace, hot tub and relaxing living area. We were able to go sledding down the drive and road out front (note that there are 3 sleds and 2 snow shoes in the garage which were an added bonus). Only downside was the garage is small so we had a tough time getting a suburban in the garage which was necessary as we had snow every day. In addition, the kitchen supplies need to be upgraded. Overall we loved our stay at the house and in Breckenridge.

Spacious yet cozy

Cabin was very roomy for group of 8. Beds were comfortable and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Management company was very responsive. Coffee machine was not working and they brought out a brand new one and made sure it worked before leaving. There is a large fire pit area so you can enjoy a fire while in the hot tub. Close to both Alma and Breck for shopping and eating out.

Spacious, comfortable family- style home

We stayed for the better part of a week at the Cook Family Lodge with 10 family members and found it to be comfortable, and attractive in a quiet, very nicely located neighborhood a few miles outside touristy Breckinridge. There was a delightful, wooded walking trail above the blue river just up the street. Breckinridge offered quite a few activities for the children in our group, and there was a range of hiking trails nearby. The only reason we give this property a four star rating is a hot tub that wasn’t working, almost no glassware, a broken curtain system in the master bedroom, detached kitchen faucet, non-functioning burner on the stove and a bed in the basement that was uncomfortable.. However, Breckenridge Property managers were excellent and promptly sent out repair people for the faucet, hot tub and stove,Unfortunaly neither stove nor hot tub could be repaired during our stay, but they very generously granted us a refund. They were so responsive, I believe all will be fixed for future visitors.

Good Vacation

The place is good for 2 families(10 adults) to stay comfortably. Location wise it is good for the north colorado visits. A little better cleaning is required for the kitchen/dining area. We found it sticky where ever we touched it. The hot water flow is not good for 2 families visit. It gets cold fast. When you come back from a day trip and everyone tries to get fresh, you have to wait for hours after the initial round of people taking bath to get back hot water. The hot tub jets were not working. Only some main jets were working, but not the one where you sit and relax.

Beautiful Views with a Great Location

This property is in a great area with a beautiful view. It is close enough to the Breckenridge ski resort (short drive), but also only a 40 min ride to A-Basin and Copper Mountain. It sleeps 10 but keep in mind that 2 of the beds are twin beds, so if you have larger kids or adults, consider that. It has a cozy atmosphere and great layout for gathering and the kitchen is perfect for entertaining while you cook. The hot tub was a plus after a long day of skiing. There were lots of fun games to play, a nice TV over the fireplace, and a TV in the master bedroom. Full cable and the wifi worked well too. It was awesome having the BBQ grill for cooking. The few things I would recommend: add a few kitchen items like a colander for noodles, and a few extra cooking utensils other than knives such as spatulas and tongs and that is being a little picky. If you want to pack lunches for skiing or hiking, make sure you bring your own Aluminum foil, sandwich bags, and other paper products you may need. (there were plenty of paper towels.). There were non of these in the kitchen. Plenty of nice towels for the shower as well as the hot tub. The property was clean, but some of the non stick pans could also be replaced. All that said, we would stay there again in a heartbeat! It is perfect for a large family or a group gathering. The property manager was also incredibly prompt in communication, and we had no issues checking in or out. Which makes that even nicer.

We had a great time at this beautiful home. Everything that was described was spot on. The house was at a great location minutes from town, hot tub was a plus. We enjoyed the BBQ pit also! The fire place was so toasty. We plan on being back. They had a good selection of pots & pans. Coffee pot, silverware, plates, bowls. Lots of clean towels, beds were comfy, plenty of space!

Summer Jeep trip

Overall the property was nice and as advertised. Biggest issue we had was it looked as if it hadn't been dusted in months and basically all of the dishes were put away dirty, rinsed off at best. Beyond that, plenty of parking for a truck and trailer and 3 Jeeps.

Great location and very nice home

This home was perfect for two families of five with six young kids (4-9 Years old). Four bedrooms with two king beds on separate levels was great. The futon in the fifth bonus room was great too. The location is five minutes from Brek and is close to several awesome hikes! The only issue we had was when a neighbor asked us to get out of the river since we trespassed to access. We look forward to coming again. Thanks for sharing your home with us.
