Colorado Traction Law: From September through May 31, the Colorado Traction Law is in effect for all drivers traveling on I-70 between Morrison and Dotsero as well as US-285 to Breckenridge . This law mandates that vehicles must be equipped with either four-wheel or all-wheel drive and snow-rated or mud + snow tires. Alternatively, vehicles with two-wheel drive must have winter tires, chains, or other traction devices. Ensuring your vehicle is properly equipped is essential for safe winter driving in Colorado. If youâre renting a car, be sure to confirm with your rental company that your vehicle meets these requirements.
Important Winter Advisory: Please be aware that during the winter months, roads and driveways are likely to be snow-covered or icy, making four-wheel drive (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) essential for safe travel. We are unable to offer refunds for vehicles that get stuck or require towing, and unfortunately, we cannot assist with towing or vehicle recovery. Additionally, some properties may require 4WD or AWD even during non-winter months due to uneven terrain and dirt roads. If you have any questions about your rental, feel free to reach out to us for further details.
Overall the stay wasnât terrible but there were some issues we ran into. First, the SkyRun company changed over their payment program and somehow missed a fee to charge me for the rest of the amount I owed. So on the day of check in, I got a message saying that I owned an additional 38 and they would not give us the check in code until this was settled. While this is not the biggest issue ever, it was an annoyance that shouldnât have happened to begin with. The property itself was fine. It is a third floor unit, which was not specified in the property details. There is no elevator so for anyone with disabilities, it is not accessible (this was not an issue in our group, though). The front door was sticky and was often hard to open without slamming the door open after unlocking it. All of the furniture is dated and would benefit from replacement. One of the recliners in the living room is broken and the seat is nonexistent in it. The mattresses are 50/50. Some are good others are extremely flattened and old. The place seemed generally clean but could probably use a good deep cleaning. There was a leak in the roof/ceiling that was disclosed to us upon check in but it worsened over the time of the trip. SkyRun as a whole was not awful but be aware that they will only provide 3 small trash bags for your stay (no matter length) then expect you to purchase our own after. For a condo meant to sleep 8-12 that is not enough bags. Hot tub closes at 8 not 10 per listing.
The property was spacious and within walking distance of downtown. The property is dated and needed several small repairs such as fixing baseboard near kitchen area and the recliner looked broken and unsafe to sit in. There are four beds but only 2 had decent mattresses. The window in upstairs loft does not open so area stayed too hot for comfort. Needs more fans. Baseboard heaters look like they have been taken apart and not put back together right. The kitchen appliances worked well but dishwasher has a lot of mineral buildup. Premises did look clean but needing a refresher. Front door lock does not lock automatically on closing which was quite confusing.
This property served us well with 4 beds, 3 full baths, and short walk to quicksilver lift. There were some spots that updates are needed such as sliding shower
door, dishwasher, and furniture functionality. overall
it was a success.
Not a far walk to the slopes.
One upstairs bed needs replaced. Caves in big time in the middle. Upper rack of dishwasher broken and concern will break. Tough to get in and out.
Convenient location, close to town and ski area. Heated pool and hot tubs were a hit. Brewery is a short walk. The condo was ideal for our needs. 2 private bedrooms offer seclusion and quiet when needed. Living area is good size for the group to gather and hang out. This condo did offer a nice narrow view of the slopes.
Great property. Kids and adults alike enjoyed the heated pool and hot tubs. The condo was good too. Ample space, good layout for family. TV's good. Everything we needed.
To whom it may concern,
When we arrived on December 26th, I was quite disappointed to see that items I had asked about in an October 22nd inquiry, where I had referenced past reviews, were NOT "addressed" or "fixed" as per Sky Run's response to my message:
Correspondence:
Inquiry Oct 22:
"Hi, To my disappointment, I noticed some reviews which were not very favorable: mattresses are sagging, couch sinks, loose tiles, pictures do not do it justice, heat issues and the place was not clean. Have any updates been made since these reviews? If so, what has been done? Thank you!"
SkyRun sent a message Oct 22:
"Hello, thank you for reaching out. Yes, we have addressed these issues with the proper department and ensure that each item is fixed. Please let us know if you have any other questions. SkyRun Breckenridge"
----------------
On arrival, I was quite dismayed to find that the response to my inquiry was not true; the mattresses had NOT been updated; they are very old, dirty and saggy. We found hairs on pillowcases, artwork glass taped, and the furniture dated and stained; overall the place did not feel clean.
There were major heating issues, too. The heat was set to 55 degrees when we arrived and it had barely reached 60 degrees in the two days we stayed. The SkyRun pictures on VRBO definitely do not accurately reflect what to expect.
This was an expensive Christmas gift to my family and I was not a happy guest. I felt hugely mislead, especially since I inquired well before the cancellation cutoff. Had they been truthful, I would have looked elsewhere because the cost increase over Christmas was at least 3x above normal..
That being said, the location to the town and QuickSilver lift is ideal.
Dated, worn kitchen wear, heating very slow and minimal. Location good and we had a good trip. Will likely select an alternative next time. Been in many much nicer
This condo is in a great location! Across the parking lot to the pool, 2 blocks to Main Street, trailheads close by! Kitchen had just about everything we needed. It was unusually hot the week we were there, so the box fans were appreciated. A MOOSE even walked through the complex and sat right outside the building!
When we arrived at our property it was easy check in. Went inside noticed right away the place was very clean. The pictures made the place look a bit nicer than it was. The furniture was older and not comfortable you sunk in when sitting on them. Bathrooms very tiny. Master bath you could walk in it. Very hard to get in and turn around shut the door to sit on toilet or get in shower. Everything you could ever need was in the kitchen. Very nicely stocked. The grill was older and we tried to cook hamburgers on it, it didn't get hot enough to cook had to bring inside and finish on stove. The swimming pool and hot tub were very nice and good option after being out riding all day. Over all it was a nice family place to stay.
The property was well equipped and overall in pretty good shape. The microwave door handle was broken off, and in the drawer, but we were still able to use it. The sliding door in the master bathroom shower came off track and was very difficult to keep on. I did reach out, and the management got back to me right away about safety concerns regarding microwave and shower door as well. Overall, great stay. We LOVED the location.
We had such a great visit! The location canât be beat. We loved how close it was to the hot tubs and easy walk to the slopes. Also, lots of extra room for all our teenage boys. The kitchen was very well stocked. Due to COVID, we planned all our meals in and they had everything we needed to cook all our meals. While we were there, the coffee maker stopped working and they brought us a new one as soon as I called. I couldnât have been more pleased with our overall experience!
I must have searched 100 different properties in all the mountain towns-my main criteria was having a pool/hot tub. I came across this property that advertised year round pool access. I emailed before I booked this to have them confirm that the pool would be open (you never know with this Covid stuff), they confirmed. Well, turns out thatâs not the case. They closed the pool Labor Day and wonât open up until ski season starts. We were so bummed, especially the kids-they havenât been able to swim this whole summer due to Covid. So just a warning-if youâre staying here anytime soon the pool will not be open!!
We had a great time in Breckenridge and the location of this condo was great. Perfect distance to downtown. The condo is a little outdated, but cant complain because it was priced well!
Great place for a group trip, close to everything!
This home was perfect for our group trip. It had everything we needed from dishware to open space. We perfectly close to the hot tubs and a 5 minute walk from peak 9. The trail to the peak and downtown led right up to the condo. I would stay here again!
The condo is cute but the pictures make it look a little nicer than in person. Darker and smaller. The condo stays pretty chilly so we requested space heaters. The rental company was very responsive and brought us the heaters; however, one of them did not work. I would also suggest new mattresses in the loft. The condo is in a great location though!!
The unit is nice and clean. Location is perfect as we can just walk to both the ski lift about 10minutes, or go explore around town without getting into a car. Amenities are adequateâ there are plenty of glasses and dishware, and a grill out on the patio. Showers has great pressure and hot water for my group of ten.
In addition, since our group took an early morning flight, Mike & Anna, and property management responded to us quickly and allowed us an early check in.
Overall, I would recommend this place if youâre in Breckenridge.
Condo could have been cleaner. It would have been nice to have some lysol wipes.
We enjoyed our stay very much but would have liked some cleaning products available to is for general wiping down counters etc. Hot tub was closed. Location is great.
