Instead of 4 queen beds , 2 single and king size bed. Little disappointed but overall we are satisfied.

The property, the room and staff were all great! What I didn't like was the resort fees that I wasn't notified about either from Travelocity or River Mountain Resort

I just double checked, the resort fees are disclosed on Travelocity both in the price breakdown on each of the rooms and then is listed in the additional information that is provided right before you click to reserve the room. Loved our stay at River Mountain! Stayed in just a two queen hotel type of room on the river side. Listened to the river all night. Easy access to the garage for parking and a quick walk to Main Street.

This is a nice to visit moderate property. It's not a mountain lodge getaway experience, but it has the basic amenities of hotels. I would call it a hotel vs a lodge. There are BBQs on the premise if you want to try that experience.
