Overall the place was great for what we needed. Was a short walk to the lift which made early morning starts easy. Only complaint was with the weather we had it was very warm but fixed that by turning off the thermostats. Pool/hot tub facility was a short walk away but felt great to relax in every night after skiing.
Great location to ski lift, but it could use some updates
I knew what I was getting myself into by the other reviews, price and pictures so I'm trying not to complain, but state the facts.
GOOD
-2 blocks from Snowflake Lift, you can ski home!
- private garage was great but barely fit a minivan, full size SUV might not fit
- 2.5 baths were great bonus
- extra room to spread out with 2 bedrooms up, kitchen/dining area, then family/tv room
- spare bedroom had a set of bunk beds, but the top bunk didn't have a railing so beware
- management company was good at responding
BAD
- the place has not been updated since it was build in the early 80's...original everything
- lack of basic kitchen supplies: only 5 drinking glasses, bad pans, no measuring cups
- cleaning company was late so we couldn't check in until 1 hr late...they didn't supply with trash bags, dish soap, dishwasher pods
- it's a 10 min walk to town, not 2 min
- all of the mattresses are old. in the master they put on a pillow top which was soft and not comfortable at all
- ice maker doesn't work
- pillows are bad and old
- every kitchen drawer would fall off if you pulled them too far out
- the pool/hot tub are NOT in the complex, you have to drive a couple blocks away to the Upper Village Pool complex and find parking...not convenient at all
- i can't even imagine what is in the carpet it's so old
- a lot of stairs to climb in the elevation
Overall we would NOT stay here again, but we did save some money and learned a lesson.
Love this place, stayed here multiple times. Perfect for small family of 3, and awesome location convenient town. Owner/manager also very easy to reach with questions. Will be back!
When we arrived, only one of the 3 bathrooms had toilet paper. Very frustrating after driving and getting there early in the evening. We were left with a 1/3rd of a roll of paper towels. We tried to fry some eggs and burgers and both pans were mangled so they would not lay flat on the smooth electric stove surface. Itâs a large place, but the little things neglected by Lloyd and the housekeepers were annoying.
The condo was close enough to snowflake lift to walk each day. It was also close enough to downtown to walk. The interior of the condo was outdated but comfortable. We had everything we needed. And for the price we were satisfied.
Perfect location with only a short walk to main street. Spacious interior with a great layout. Garage parking and laundry in the unit was a definite bonus. Loved sitting outside on the balconies in the evenings!
This is the second time this group has stayed at Peak 8. Location is great, condo layout is great and the place is very clean.
Unfortunately the place has gotten a bit shabby.
The ladder to the top bunk is missing. There were no extra pillow cases. The kitchen is poorlyprovisioned. The dining room chairs are quite uncomfortable due to wear. A couple of throws for the couch would add much to the comfort of the living room. Recycling should be provided.
