We loved the area, can't get much closer to the park then IN IT! A/c got super cold. We loved the secluded cabins. 2 rooms, a bed for everyone and separated bathroom was a plus for everyone getting ready all together. Watched the fireflies from our private porch! 'Roughing it' with the comforts of home.

Beautiful setting but we did have mice running around in the night and actually caught one in a trap. Didn’t get much sleep because of the critters. This is understandable since it’s an older cabin with gaps near the foundation and doors.

This was such a quaint little cabin to stay at in the national park and it offered plenty of room for a family of 5!

Plumbing disaster

This was rough. First room had a shower that had a lining that leaked everywhere, flooded the room and even got to the carpet. Terrible design, and we could not have been the first people to complain. The room smelled moldy from the time we got in it. They moved us to a second room, which started out fine, but then that shower did not drain, and a toilet that water came out of the bottom with every flush. We didn't want to switch rooms again, so I had to bail out the shower as my family used it. We were told by several employees that they get many complaints about the plumbing and keep trying to patch it with maintenance people instead of real plumbers. Service people tried their best, but this was a doozy. Thankfully room was cheap, and they did refund a but of our money back. Can't beat the proximity to the Mammoth Cave Visitor Center, and deer were everywhere, so keep your expectations as low as possible, and you'll be ok.

Wonderful

I was tired from hours of driving but the gentleman who greeted us was so personable that I felt revived and relaxed almost instantly. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The on site restaurant was nice and we really enjoyed our breakfast there. Generous portions, reasonably priced, and good service. The area is amazing.

Fantastic!

This was a fantastic stay! You have your own space, it’s walking distance to the tours, and it’s extremely peaceful. It had a full bathroom and fridge which was very convenient as well. We’d highly recommend this stay!

Great lodge to stay overnight

It’s super convenient to stay overnight next to the visitor center after 10 plus hour driving. It’s clean, quiet and decently comfortable for a lodge. We see deer at the parking lot which delighted my daughter. Next morning we had breakfast at the lodge and ready for the cave tour!
