A Million Dollar View Above the Clouds

Summary:
Spectacular views! This amazing chalet is located on the eastern side of Mt. Mitchell and has a connection to a very special environment that includes deer, bear, and a variety of other creatures and foliage. Located in Alpine Village Resort nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains only three miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, this rental offers tranquil, secluded surroundings with spectacular mountain views at 3,250 feet in elevation in an aura of warm hospitality.

The Space:
Beautifully appointed cottage (half of a duplex townhome) with wood burning fireplace (sorry, we cannot supply firewood), TV in three rooms, & free wireless internet access. Fully furnished including a king bed in each room. Optionally, the guest room can be two XL-twin beds instead of a king upon request. All mattresses are memory foam.

Outstanding views from your private deck. Right out the front door, about 50 yards to edge of Pisgah National Forest is a trailhead to Mt. Mitchell and other interconnecting hiking trails.

Great trout fishing within a mile, Mt. Mitchell Golf course within 2 miles, and several national and state parks are nearby offering hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails throughout the mountains.

Full kitchen with most of the dishes, utensils, and appliances you need to cook and serve a meal and store the leftovers. A wide variety of drinkware is also provided. There are spices and oils in the cabinets for your use as well but availability can vary.

Between Memorial Day and Labor Day the clubhouse pool is available to guests.

Secure Internet password available upon check in in the app. Our internet speeds are 100 Mbps down by 6 Mbps up. This is more than sufficient for typical remote work and video conferencing.

Guest Access:
The spacious and inviting clubhouse as well as the heated swimming pool between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Our unit is close to the clubhouse, heated pool, and gas fire pit.

The Mt. Mitchell hiking trail head starts just 100 ft. from the chalet and goes to the top of Mt. Mitchell (a 3400 ft elevation change). In the living room you will find a binder with information about many of the local area attractions, state parks, restaurants etc.

Getting Around:
There are a couple of parking spaces available directly across from the front stairs to the unit and other spaces available at the nearby clubhouse if needed.

Other Things to Note:
We have a dedicated 20A/110V outlet available on the front porch for charging vehicles. You will need to bring enough extension cord to reach )approx. 30'/10m).

No keys to lose or to return! This property provides secure, keyless entry with an August Smart Lock. You can lock and unlock the door with your smartphone, using a unique virtual key or personal entry code issued to you for the duration of your stay.

This vacation home is located directly on a steep mountain ridge and there are hazards relative to staying in a mountain property. This was my first Vrbo booking. The location was beautiful and quiet. The house was very clean and upkeep. Both bedroom had tvs and a firm, comfortable mattresses. We went up to spend a quiet night watching the meteor shower. It was the perfect location. Area was beautiful and the house is clean, organized and has everything for a great stay. Great Mountain Stay

Best property rental we’ve had. The instructions for access and for other details of our home were great, but they couldn’t compare to the amazing views. It was unbelievable to sit on the porch and enjoy the constantly changing view of the mountains. We absolutely loved it and can’t wait to come back. The owner (Jeremy) was great to deal with and was super nice and helpful when we forgot one of our chargers. Everything about the home and location was great. We highly recommend it.

The location is excellent to have a great view of mountains from the backyard. The rooms are perfect to enjoy the outside natural beauty and inside privacy. It just doesn't get any better

The view is indeed a million dollar view. I've been coming to the mountains once a year for forty years and this place is TOPS. the view is extraordinary. We LOVE Alpine Village, great location and ammenities. Right by the Toe River and close to lots of trails, even one on the property. The unit is cozy and has some great upgrades. It would be just right for parents and two kids or three or four adults.

This cabin was enough for the 4 of us and the location could not have been better. The owners really paid special attention to detail like: 1. QR codes for WiFi and cleaning procedures 2. Night lights at the foot of the beds to light up the walkway 3. Blankets under the coffee table to snuggle and watch tv. The cabin was clean. Packed with everything you need in a kitchen. The beds were comfy. The showers had great water pressure (that’s important if you ask me). Parking was easy. The view on the balcony deck is amazing!! We will be back!!

We usually go to Gatlinburg. But it has gotten so crazy crowded there that we decided to try North Carolina. Found this rental and boy are we glad we did. Everything was great..housekeeping does a great job...they thought of everything to have there...I was so excited to find the electric water heater and a French press. I always bring my own but decided to do without this trip...but didn't have to. The neighbor feeds the hummingbirds so went to a local hardware store and bought a feeder. Man were they fun. The view..oh the view. It was so peaceful and quiet there and right off the BRP. Such beauty...never gets old. If you're tired of the crowds try this place and area. Will rent again without hesitation.

Great Place for R & R

Very well stocked with almost everything you need: in the kitchen (tools and equipment), in the bathrooms, for the pool. Just about everything is there for you. Just bring your food. You-Tube TV included, a great view of the mountains, and nice, cool weather. The owner, Jeremy, is very helpful if you have an issue. Nice touch with the teas and coffee too.
