Here you can take a ferry to the Cinque Terre, the villages in Liguria that are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and considered one of the most distinctive coastlines in Italy. About 27 km away is Lucca, with its intact 16th-century city walls. There are numerous medieval churches here, which have led to the name "City of 100 Churches".
