Morning sun, coffee in hand, a good book and so much more...
Lake side cottage with covered porch looking out to granite islands with hills beyond. Spend a quiet day kayaking, swimming or hiking the State Park, then enjoy the night life of Camden and Rockport minuets away. Or relax on the deck listening to the loons and watching the moon rise over Hosmer Pond.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or special requests. I hope you have a fabulous time at Loon Cottage!
The Loon was everything we could have asked for as a home away from home. It was charming, comfortable, well equipped, and the deck and dock made our stay so enjoyable. Thank you, Lisa!
This VRBO was fantastic. The kitchen was better stocked than any other rental i have stayed. Everything was clean and tidy. The views are beautif. It is a quick drive to grocery, gas, walking trails, and the down town Camden area. Lisa gave us great recommendations for hikig trails, site seeing, and food! We really enjoyed our stay and woukd book again if we make our way back to Maine.
The location of this cabin is ideal- you are just a few minutes drive from all the amenities Camden has to offer and you get your water view- which we found more serene than the ocean with the beautiful loons calling. This cabin has everything you need and then some! We hope to return!
We absolutely loved this place, I would recommend this place and Lisa to anybody who wants to come. Lisa (the owner) was SO nice and she stopped by to check if we were doing good and if we needed anything. The place is so clean and specially SO cozy. You are a 5 minute drive from Camden and a grocery store. We were also about 1:40 from Acadia national park. If we come back to Camden, this will be the place we stay :)
We absolutely loved our stay at Loon Cottage. Very comfortable and so peaceful, definitely did not want to leave. Loved spending time on the deck and dock, and comfy hanging out with the wood stove. Wonderful to paddle around in the canoe in the sun (even our dog liked that part!) Lisa was very responsive and we sure hooe to come again in the future.
Would stay again for sure. What a lovely spot. Felt like a true holiday. The pond was beautiful to kayak around. 10 minutes from Camden. Definitely recommend.
We had a great stay at Loon Cottage. Comfortable and cozy, and in a perfect location. Camden and Rockport are less than ten minutes away; both have excellent restaurants and shops. The lake is lovely and right off the deck. Communication with Lisa was easy and check in was a breeze.
We stayed for a week with kids and a dog. The house was perfect for our needs, well stocked and comfortable. The pond is beautiful and clean with loons calling in the morning and evening. The location canât be beat, youâre about 8 minutes from downtown Camden, but feel away from it all at the house. Looking forward to going back next year.
Our stay at the cabin was wonderful! We loved sitting on the porch overlooking the dock, but the highlight of our week was taking the canoe and kayak to the little islands in the middle of the pond. The pond is shallow so it was very warm and there were no motorboats allowed. It was a very peaceful place to spend the week. The cabin itself was great! The two bedrooms were roomy for our family of four and the kitchen had everything we needed. We would love to visit again!
We absolutely LOVED our stay at 'Loon Cottage.' It was just the two of us, so we were glad to be able to rent a place that didn't have tons of extra bedrooms and space we didn't need.
I cannot say enough about the location. This was our first trip to Maine, and staying in this place just outside of Camden proper was perfect - we were close enough to make an easy drive into the charming town for groceries, wonderful dining, strolling by the waterfront AND felt like we were tucked away in an almost private hideaway on a gorgeous large pond.
The view from the deck was so beautiful it nearly took my breath away, especially in early morning or late day light.
And we loved the rustic old feel of the cabin - it really felt like HOME. We were there for some pretty chilly nights and loved firing up the wood stove now and again to make it a little toastier inside. The kitchen had everything we needed and the short few steps down to the water and a lovely dock made for a wonderful spot for quiet contemplation or watching the birds and feeling the breeze.
The main bedroom bed was so comfortable (I'm in love with those sheets) and we slept so well and felt very much at home there. Plus, the host was so attentive and kind. We would definitely return to this cozy hideaway in the hart of mid-coast Maine again.
The Loon Cottage was so comfortable and clean! The views are amazing. The beds were very comfortable with very nice linens. It was far enough away from Camden that we had privacy and quiet but close enough that we could go out to eat or shop easily! One of my favorite places we have ever stayed!
The cottage is cute and exactly what we wanted but, we had a 97 year old with us and the walk way wasn't really safe for him. Linens were in short supply. We ended up at Walmart to buy more towels. The swim ladder was broken and the grill spilled grease all over one of our kayaks.
Very quiet neighborhood, close to everything - hiking trails, downtown camden, etc. Cabin is very clean. My husband, dog and I enjoyed our stay and relaxing by the pond. Wish we can extend our stay a bit longer.
We loved it here. Canât say enough good things about the Loon Cottage.
We spent six relaxing days in the cottage; on the pond; in downtown Camden and on the hills and we already want to go back.
This is a cozy house with a wonderful, but unscreened and unlighted, back porch overlooking Hosmer Pond. Property is nice but not friendly to seniors. The Loon watching and calls were wonderful. Indoor lighting needs some help, especially in the kitchen.
We would be very happy to return, if the house is improved, as above. Elizabeth was very helpful for our move in and throughout our stay. The local area is very scenic, and the house is close to beautiful Camden and Rockport harbors, which have many shops and eateries. Rockland is an easy 15-minute drive away.
