Four Seasons Home on 3 + Acres with Streams Borders Pisgah National Forest

Stoneybrook is an extraordinary property that has numerous streams with massive stands of laurel and lush foliage bordered and protected by the US Forest Service. Enjoy walking the nature trails with unusual native wild flowers and an awesome stand of trees of many varieties (some of which are marked and identified... one hickory tree is estimated to be 150 years old).

The very spacious 24 by 28 feet outdoor pavilion with a stone fireplace is a favorite gathering place for each guest. Imagine a romantic evening listening to the crackling fire with your love, regardless of the weather or curl up with a good book while listening to the beautiful song birds and the babbling brooks.

We provide many magazines for your reading enjoyment. You will find many books with points of interest of this area and games and such for children. Provided are two mountain bikes for your pleasure.



The Vineyard with hardwood floors, cathedral ceiling, skylight windows, and cable television. Brookside offers hardwood floors, natural finish tongue and groove pine board paneling decorated in nature wood motif. The Nantucket says it all. It has its own skylight bathroom and is decorated to match its name. The cottage, according to many guests, has more to offer than just being a great vacation spot. It is nestled on 3.2 acres bordering Mount Pisgah National Forest and it is located only 10 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Each of the three bedrooms and 2 baths have been totally remodeled...hardwood floors, cathedral ceilings, skylight windows, tongue and groove pine paneling are some of the unique features. Snuggling in comfortable beds as the Katydids sing you to sleep is a dream come true! Beds are 1 king size and 1 queen and 1 full size beds with luxury bedding for your comfort.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The house and all the grounds were so clean, neat, and well stocked. It seemed everything we had forgotten to bring, Elmer and Ruby had at the house! We so much enjoyed sitting in the outdoor spaces and listening to the creek and looking at all the flowers. Elmer and Ruby made sure we had everything we needed and that our stay was as perfect as can be! Thank you for your lovely hospitality!

I cannot praise this property and its owners highly enough. We've stayed with them multiple times and it's starting to feel like Home, and they are like Family at this point! I can’t say enough good things about the property and the host because it was so positive. We attended a destination wedding and this was perfect. If I had to find anything that could be improved on for us, it would have been the very firm beds; however, each person has their own preference and firm beds could be loved by some. The detours on the roads were a bit of an inconvenience, but nothing the host can do about that except inform you, and Elmer did just that. If you are looking for a nice, peaceful, and clean place to stay then look no further. Thank you for allowing us to call your home ours for a few days.

The house was impeccably clean and well kept! It was also well stocked. A home away from home. We loved the outdoor seating area and fireplace that was stocked with plenty of wood. The hosts of the house were so nice and helpful. The house was so clean. We loved the beautiful outdoors. The host really has everything you need to get your vacation started, so no rushing to the store before you check in! We were delighted with our stay at Elmer and Ruby's beautiful cottage. They provided everything we could possibly have needed. Elmer even had the outdoor fire place ready for us, all we had to do was light it with the lighter. No detail in providing a comfortable stay was left undone. The kitchen had every cooking tool you might need and everything in between from storage containers to parchment paper. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of fresh linens were available and there was a bookshelf full of points of interest to be explored. The property with the stream was so magical and the large outdoor room was beautiful. This home was immaculate inside and out. We can't say enough good things about our wonderful, friendly and responsive hosts and the week we enjoyed at their beautiful cottage. This home is five star across the board and we would give it more if we could.Thank you very much Ruby and Elmer!

Stoneybrook was one of our favorite places we've stayed! The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. The outdoor space was amazing, with a beautiful sitting area, gardens, and trails into the woods. Our kids would have happily just stayed right there on the property during our whole trip! The hosts had thought of everything and really made us feel welcome. The kitchen was well stocked, and the bedrooms were nicely furnished and comfortable. We definitely would stay again!

Home away from home

This is our third stay here and it was just as wonderful as the first two times. A storm knocked out the power the first night we were there and Elmer was there first thing to make sure we were okay and make sure our needs were taken care of.
