Dated Hotel and Not Clean

The hotel lobby was about the only nice part of the Pocaterra Inn and Waterslide hotel. Hotel rooms were dated, dirty, and in disrepair. The rooms were not quiet either and you could hear those in the rooms next to yours and above yours. Would not stay at this hotel again.

Really enjoyed the location, very close to the highway and downtown Canmore. Rooms were good clean condition but housekeeping takes a very long time until they get to keep your room.

Balcony offered nice view of mountains, and you could just step outside to cool off if needed. Breakfast was great. Hotel staff knew very little about the area and couldn't offer much advice on hiking trails or anything. Oh, I was surprised to see rainbow (gay) flags flying at the lobby desk. I don't recall seeing that on their website.

Really enjoyed our stay! The room was super clean, staff were friendly and easy to deal with, and the pool with the slide was a hit with the kids. The free breakfast was actually really good too — lots of choices and fresh. Would definitely stay here again!

The breakfast option was below the average, also the fixture and furniture were pretty old, next day while taking bath the shower produced a sharp noise when water is running and it remains till our last day in the room. We wanted to change the room but due to our luggage size we have decided to stay in the same room.

The room was spacious, beds comfortable, and it was lovely to have Rocky Mountain Soap products in the bathroom. I have stayed here many times and it has not disappointed. Canmore is a walkable little town and the hotel is close to a lot of ammenities.

I booked this hotel through Expedia yesterday. When we checked in, we were given a “standard room,” but we quickly found out there was no air conditioning and the fridge was broken. We asked the front desk, and they told us this was “normal” — if we wanted AC and a working fridge, we had to pay extra to upgrade. It was extremely stuffy, and we had no choice but to pay for the upgrade. This was very disappointing and felt misleading. If you’re booking this hotel, call first to confirm whether your room actually has air conditioning and a working fridge. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would.
