The staff was great. It was built in 1902 so don't expect the amenities of a newer hotel but that's not what you stay in Redstone for. The setting is great.

The property was wonderful! We loved the oldness of it, but also the classiness of it. The restaurant was excellent, the front desk people were friendly, the surrounding community was beautiful and the snow was great. However, I feel it was not as advertised. We had an event in Aspen and had searched for a hotel near there and it was not. Plus it was out of the way and not accessible to other stores and facilities and because of it's remoteness, we needed clothing and tires to keep us safe and comfortable in the snow, so we were not prepared. We were not aware of any of this until we arrived at the property and couldn't do anything about it.

Reception was slow and the woman left 3 groups waiting to check in while she was on the phone Not at all professional. The lodge is a bit dated but otherwise fine
