The hotel staff on check in were excellent.
Room was superb thanks to an upgrade.
The Fish & Chips in the restaurant for dinner was significantly below par. More like a mini fish and chips which the waiter could not resolve.
Business trip, no mention of fully booked with a wedding, so got last room overlooking decked patio where about 8 kids were running about screaming, then the adults joined in. Asked to be moved to git told we can give you earplugs. Just done 14 hours work/travel so with no real option I went to local Premier Inn which was perfect for me. I asked for refund but no commitment to do so and just the receipt sent.
Lovely hotel, comfy room and good food! Nice garden for the dog also. My only comment is that we were unable to tip the restaurant staff on the card machine as tips are cash only. Very few people carry cash these days and tips can make up a reasonable component of service staffs pay. I implore management to change this.
