POSITION:
Casarano is the sixth most populous town located with the province of Lecce, southern Puglia. The towns number one export is olive oil and the local industry is mostly agricultural. One of the world’s oldest Christian sites, the Church of Santa Maria della Croce is also located in Casarano. This church’s unassuming façade are quite a contrast to the ancient mosaic and fresco filled interior, making this location one of the most important landmarks in Casarano as well as Puglia.
