This house was nothing fancy, but was perfect for our group that included 3 young kids and 2 dogs. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The lake was great, and we enjoyed using the kayak and row boat. The host was very attentive to any questions we had, and even refunded some money because the downstairs shower was clogged. The pictures represented it very well.

Not exactly as pictured in the photos. Upkeep of the property was minimal. Fishing, use if the kayaks and row boat, nearby beach were a plus. Otherwise not a very comfortable stay.

Overall, we had a great time at this property, and it was a perfect fit for our group of 8. The house was spacious, and everyone had plenty of room to relax. We especially enjoyed the 3 kayaks, the firepit, the dock with lake access, and having fishing equipment available, even though some of it was broken or needed repairs. There were a few hiccups during our stay. The beds were old and uncomfortable, which made sleeping less enjoyable. The home appeared surface cleaned when we arrived, but we noticed quite a few areas with visible dust and dirt. Several lights throughout the house didn't work, TV in the basement wasn't working at all and was small. The location is peaceful if you're looking for a relaxing lake getaway, but there isn't much to do nearby. We visited over the Fourth of July weekend and were surprised there were no local celebrations. Most businesses closed early (around 7 p.m.) or weren't open at all. Aside from swimming at the lake, the main nearby attraction was Twirl, the local ice cream and restaurant spot. (Beware of fees).Despite the issues, our group still had a wonderful weekend together. With a few updates, better maintenance, and a deeper cleaning, this property could provide an even better experience for future guests.
