Plebis - A Little Gem in Catania

A lovely B&B only 10 mins walk from Catania Centre. Room was spacious and exactly as photos on vrbo. Bathroom well appointed with large shower, fresh towels as required and toiletries. Plenty of hot water. Air con was fabulous....stepping into an oasis of cool from the heat of the day. Breakfast was great, with lots of options and delicious pastries. The hosts were so helpful and welcoming. Renata and her family were a great team and made a special effort to suggest places to visit and places to eat, which was most helpful. We were contacted with clear instructions on how to find the B&B and Renata even booked our Etna trip, which was amazing. Being brits, our grasp of italian was non-existent, but that didn't matter, we were still able to have a chat and a laugh with our hosts every morning at breakfast. Many thanks to our hosts, they made our first visit to Sicily very memorable. Visit Plebis and you won't be disappointed.

Nice rooms and interior,but outside not great location. Check in was not good, they were supposed to email directions for checking in ahead of time but didn’t send anything. I had to contact customer service to get in touch with them and give me the check in instructions.

Excellent place

Great location of apartments. Very downtown and close to best food places as well as downtown city center. The owner has the best recommendations on places to go within the area. Truly perfect choice to experience Sicilian life.

This B & B is a family affair with dad and 2 daughters running a friendly place to recharge in close proximity to all of the major things to see and do in Catania. We especially loved their beautiful breakfast filled with local Sicilian food specialties—a foodies delight! The rooms are immaculately clean and modern. My boyfriend grumbled about the bed because he thought it was too hard and uncomfortable—I was fine but can sleep anywhere! Since you are right in the hustle bustle on Catania, it has all of the sounds of the city, so pack ear plugs just in case you’re a light sleeper. This is a well-run, very clean and wonderful spot to spend a few days soaking in all that Catania has to offer! Enjoy!

First Stop in Sicily

We had our first stop in Catania and stayed at Salvatore's property and we were very impressed. The location was off the main tourist strip which we really appreciated but still a close walk to the main sites. The cleanliness, updated interiors/exterior, and location were all 5 stars. Salvatore and his daughter were super helpful with local knowledge and went out of their way to assist us in transportation for our trip to Taormina. We really enjoyed our stay. When we come back to Catania, we will happily stay here again!

We stayed here for 4 nights in May 2022. Luna & Salvo we’re great hosts. They were very accommodating and attentive to all our needs. The location of Plebis B&B is great, all main attractions within Catania are a short walk away. There is a secure car park 200m away (card & cash accepted) if needed. The continental breakfast was amazing, Luna & Salvo made sure we had everything we needed. Fresh pastries, breads, juices were delicious. The room was exceptionally clean and finished to a high standard. We would recommend Plebis B&B to any friends and family staying in Catania, and we would definitely stay again.
