Lieu magique

L’amphithĂ©Ăątre antique de Catane a Ă©tĂ© partiellement englobĂ© dans des bĂątiments postĂ©rieurs. Vous en retrouvez des morceaux un peu partout et jusque dans votre salle de bain dans ce B&B confortable et rĂ©novĂ© avec goĂ»t ! Central mais calme car situĂ© sur une cour intĂ©rieure. De plus le couple qui tient le B&B est charmant et prĂȘt Ă  vous donner tous les renseignements utiles Ă  votre visiteur.

It’s important to point out that this is not a hotel - but just as good, or better. The room was spacious. The location is convenient for getting around Catania - its 1 stop on the nearby metro train to the main station if you want to travel to places like Syracuse or Taormina etc. Anna was very helpful in arranging tours, taxis and providing dining information. But this brings me back to it is not a hotel - and you need to ensure you let Anna know when you expect to arrive - and if that changes, let her know, so that the arrival process is smooth. She was very responsive on WhatsApp when necessary.

Excellent!

Excellent location, the hotel feels brand new, yet it is built on the site of an old amphitheater, which gives it both heritage and charm. The rooms are spacious, everything is spotless, quite in the night and the location couldn’t be more central. The host is outstanding. I travel frequently for work, but I have never experienced such dedication to the guest. Truly a recommendation for everyone!

We stayed in a double room - Anna, our host, was incredibly friendly and welcoming, being available even for our late check-in after our flight was significantly delayed. There was a nice selection of drinks and snacks in the communal area and in our room with a beautiful outdoor terrace for dining. Breakfast is provided at a local cafe for which you are given vouchers. The room is a nice size and the shower is clean with excellent water pressure. The location of this property is one of its strongest points, walking distance from lots of lovely restaurants and via Etnea.

This place is a real gem and lived up to all the great reviews. Conveniently located, clean, quiet and plenty of space for two people. Large bathroom and private patio. The shared kitchen was great. Anna was extremely helpful with local sites to visit and restaurants. She got us a cab for a 4 am pick up - She was just great. We we definitely stay here again.

The b&b was quite unique, being built above volcanic rock laid down centuries ago and sharing it with an ancient amphitheatre. Our suite was spacious, attractive had vistas featuring the rock and the amphitheatre. There is a room fridge, two wardrobes and two large screen TVs...OK if you speak italian. The shared kitchen area and patio were a bonus. Our host, Anna, was lovely, so helpful and interested in how our visit was progressing. A pleasant change from hotel staying.

AMAZING. surpassed our expectations. First impression from out side it is old like every thing surrounding it! Stepping inside tells different story: tastefully modern renovation, emasculated clean, it seems to be enclaved as part of Anfitheatro. The place was amazing as it was very clean, modern and close to all that Catania has to offer. Anna was a great host during our time. As a reminder this is a B&B so there is not staff on hand but Anna made herself available at any time. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic stay here. The hotel was beautifully presented and how incredible to be built around an Amphitheater. The room was spaces, clean and bed was comfy to sleep in. Great location close to city centre so easy to get around without a car. The hotel mini bar and offerings were a great extra. As for Anna what can I say. Thank you so much for making us feel welcome, informative and always going the extra mile to make sure we were looked after and getting the most from our experience. Nothing was too much trouble and I can’t thank you enough. If you are looking for a place to stay I would highly recommended here. My only recommendation is to switch the lounge area and bedroom around as it would be a better use of the space and give extra privacy.

Relais Anfitheatro is a fantastic place to stay. All the modern comforts in a huge room, built right into the ancient Roman amphitheater. The decor is classy, tasteful, and modern. We also loved meeting Anna, our lovely host, who was kind and full of suggestions for things to do and places to eat. Grazie mille!

The Relais Anfitheatro was just excellent. It’s in a great location, on a parallel street to the Main Street in Catania (via Etna). So it’s in easy walking distance to shops and the main squares. Although the street view exterior of Relais Anfitheatro might not look glamorous, once you get inside the property you will not be disappointed. It is very nicely decorated in a contemporary style. With high quality fixtures and decoration. The bathroom was modern and clean. And the room was cleaned everyday. I also found the bed extremely comfortable and had a better nights sleep that what I do at home! There is also a coffee machine in the room which was great. Along with a kettle and a selection of teas. A mini fridge and a selection of biscuits and small cakes are provided complementary each day. There is also a communal area, also with coffee and tea facilities, cakes, biscuits etc. Again, this is was all nicely decorated in a modern style. Breakfast is provided by vouchers to be used at a nearby cafe. The cafe is literally just round the corner, and have a selection of continental/Italian cakes/snacks. The cafe was ok, but it does get busy. No review of Relais Anfitheatro can be complete without mentioning Anna. The level of service and hospitality Anna gave us was just wonderful. Anna was so warm and welcoming to us. With great communication and helpfulness. If I were ever to visit Catania again, I would stay here again without hesitation.

Fabulous stay in a central location

fabulous stay here!! Anna could not have been more helpful - she gave me details of the parking app to use in the locality and even went out of her way to find a garage that was open on a Sunday when we had a problem with out hire car. The property is very centrally located but extremely quiet so had a really good sleep. The room was good size with a lovely private terrace. Bathroom was fully equipped and shower was great. Parking was limited but still managed to find space quite easily and really cheap with the parking app Will definatley return
