OUR SUMMARY OF SICILIANITY

La Casa Del Borgo is equipped with free WiFi, a private garden furnished with a relaxation lounge and hammocks, 2 inflatable Stand up paddles available to customers, gas barbecue, air conditioning, 24/7 check-in.

Located within the characteristic village of Sant’Ambrogio, a hamlet of the renowned CefalĂč located just 5km away.
Far from the chaos of the city, the village is part of the Madonie park and overlooks the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Uncrowded beaches and crystal clear sea are ideal for a relaxing holiday.
In the village you can find all the necessary services: a tavern overlooking the belvedere (a few steps from the house), a bar / tobacconist, a minimarket and a pizzeria located in the central square.
Space:
The house consists of a large kitchen-living room fully equipped with everything you need including a comfortable double sofa bed. Bathroom with shower adjacent to the master bedroom, all finely furnished.
Outside is the private garden consisting of a stone patio and a courtyard guarded by fragrant jasmine trees, used as a relaxation area with a sitting area, a hammock and a barbecue that you can use.
In short, a "Cocciu d’amuri"!

A Very Nice Quiet Place to Stay

The owner is right nearby and couldn't have been more helpful. The house is spacious very comfortable and well equipped. The views are magnificent and the town is town is quiet -- three restaurants and that's about it. You need a car (and a careful driver) and this is a good base to use to see surrounding attractions away from the crowds.

Wonderful Sicilian Getaway

We had an amazing time at this well-located and perfectly furnished house. Great outdoor setting with plants and flowers everywhere and even friendly tortoises. The town is lovely and the view from there is picturesque. The hosts were really responsive and helpful. We would definitely go back ;)

Eine wunderbare Unterkunft in Siziliens Norden

Wir hatten eine absolut tolle Woche in der Ferienwohnung von Antonio und Melinda. Sehr, sehr nette, hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Die Wohnung ist Ă€ußerst geschmackvoll eingerichtet, super sauber und enthĂ€lt alles, was man benötigt. Ein Parkplatz fĂŒr unser Mietauto ist ganz nah ohne weitere Kosten mit dabei. Die Lage der Wohnung in Sant' Ambrogio ist perfekt. Man hat nicht die Hektik und den LĂ€rm einer Großstadt. Alles ist ruhig und relaxed. Und man hat einen einfach grandiosen Sonnenuntergang. Wer stĂ€dtisches Leben haben möchte, ist innerhalb von 20 Minuten in Cefalu. In Palermo (wir empfehlen unbedingt die Anreise mit dem Zug von Cefalu!) ist man in einer knappen Stunde. Obwohl Sant' Ambrogio einen eigenen nah gelegenen Kiesstrand hat, sind wir immer ca. 5 km bis Spiagga Torre Conca gefahren. Sehr schöner Strand mit ParkplĂ€tzen in der NĂ€he und einem Gemisch aus Sand und feinem Kies. Toll fanden wir auch die Stadt Castelbuono (Tipp unserer Gastgeber). Sehr lohnenswerter Ausflug und nicht weit. Alles in allem hatten wir eine traumhafte Zeit. Ganz, ganz herzlichen Dank, lieber Antonio und liebe Melinda!

Ottima sistemazione

La casa del Borgo Ăš curata in ogni dettaglio e fresca, nonostante questa estate particolarmente calda. La descrizione dell'annuncio corrisponde esattamente a quanto abbiamo trovato: una casa ben arredata e curata, oltre che perfettamente pulita. Il paese di Sant'Ambrogio Ă© molto bello e tranquillo ed Ă© un perfetto punto di partenza per visitare la zona. Proprietari gentilissimi e riservati, oltre che disponibili per eventuali richieste e/o suggerimenti. Dovessimo visitare nuovamente questa parte di Sicilia, torneremo sicuramente!

Schönes Appartment mit netten Vermietern

Wir haben uns in dieser schön eingerichteten Wohnung mit Außenterasse und Garten sehr wohl gefĂŒhlt. Antonio und Melinda sind sehr freundliche und aufgeschlossene Gastgeber, mit denen wir uns gerne unterhalten haben und die uns unterstĂŒtzt haben mit Tipps. Zur BegrĂŒĂŸung wurde uns Toast, Milch, Saft und Kaffee fĂŒr die nĂ€chsten Tage bereit gestellt. Im Ort gibt es mehrere gute Lokale, Bars und einen kleinen Laden. Einziger Nachteil ist, dass es etwas hellhörig ist und man ein Auto braucht, um mobil zu sein.

In questo appartamento, collocato al margine del paese, ci siamo trovati bene sia perchĂš riceve poco sole e rimane fresco, sia per la gentilezza dei proprietari e per la cura con cui mettano a disposizione quanto favorisce una vacanza piacevole.

Bellissima, di meglio non si puĂČ!

Casa ben arredata e fornita di tutto il necessario (persino ombrellone per la spiaggia e palla per giocare). Le foto corrispondono fedelmente a quello che si trova. Giardino ombreggiato e ben arredato ed un piccolo spazio all'aperto gradevole; si parcheggia comodamente vicino alla casa in uno spazio riservato. Melinda e Antonio ci hanno accolti calorosamente come se fossimo amici da anni, ci hanno dato tutte le informazioni necessarie senza mai essere invadenti. Sant'Ambrogio Ăš un'oasi di pace a 5 minuti di auto da CefalĂč, meta serale per chi ama il divertimento e gli acquisti (oltre alle bellezze naturali e storiche). Bella la passeggiata sul lungomare, i vicoletti interni, poi la piazza e la cattedrale la fanno da padrone. La spiaggia (in sassi) sottostante la frazione Ăš lunghissima e bellissima; si puĂČ scegliere fra lo stare vicino agli scogli oppure nella parte piatta; ci sono anche 2 piccoli lidi attrezzati (lettini, bar, pedalĂČ e altro. Il mare Ăš limpidissimo; si entra superando un metro di sassi e poi Ăš tutta sabbia. Con la maschera si possono ammirare i pesci che lo popolano. Nell'abitato ci sono un piccolo supermercato per l'indispensabile, una trattoria/pizzeria molto famigliare nella piazza della Chiesa (non si mangia male) e 2 ristoranti (1 sul belvedere ed un altro nella contrada sottostante), oltre ad un negozio di vini e prodotti tipici. E poi c'Ăš il bar tabacchi di Saro: un uomo meraviglioso, tenero, ma maniacale per l'attenzione che ci mette nel preparare qualsiasi cosa serva; provate il suo gelato artigianale, le brioches, ma soprattutto non mancate di assaggiare le sue granite: di meglio non si puĂČ trovare in zona. Sant'Ambrogio e la sua gente vi accoglieranno con simpatia e onestĂ : provate una vacanza in questo borgo antico.

Schöne Ferienwohnung in typischem italienischen kleinem Ort

Sehr schöne und im Landhausstil eingerichtete Ferienwohnung in einer kleinen Sackgasse mit allem drum und dran (KĂŒche, Waschmaschine, Fernseher, Radio, Klimaanlage in WZ und SZ) Kleine Terrasse zum Essen vor der Wohnung, kleiner Garten mit HĂ€ngematte und Sitzgarnitur zum Relaxen. Alles sauber und ordentlich. Die Wohnung ist Nordseite und hat den Vorteil dass sie sich nicht aufheizt, wir haben im Juni die Klimaanlage nie gebraucht. Hausherr Antonio ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, kann alles, organisiert alles, macht alles und ist da wenn man ihn braucht (Danke fĂŒr die Starthilfe beim Leihauto!!). Der Ort ist klein und hat einen kleinen Supermarkt zum Einkaufen, eine kleine Bar mit preisgĂŒnstigen GetrĂ€nken tolle Aussichtsterrasse , eine preisgĂŒnstige Pizzeria und eine Osteria mit ausgezeichnetem italienischem Essen und Terrasse mit Fernsicht aufs Meer und Cefalu. Der Ort ist klein und es gibt nicht viele ParkplĂ€tze aber wir haben immer einen Parklatz direkt in der Ortseinfahrt bei der Aussichtsterrasse gefunden. Ein Kleinwagen ist zu empfehlen da die Straßen sehr eng sind. Zum Strand hinunter ist es nicht weit, aber es sind 392 Stufen zurĂŒck. wir sind nicht die fittesten aber wir haben den RĂŒckweg nicht als anstrengend empfunden und der Weg ist sehr schön. Der Strand ist ein Kieselsteinstrand und nicht ĂŒberlaufen, Wasser sauber und klar. LĂ€rm von der Straße oder Eisenbahn hört man nicht. Der Ort ist sehr ruhig und man kann auch ein bisschen spazieren gehehen. Nach Cefalu fĂ€hrt man mit dem Auto 12 Minuten.

Lovely property!

Lovely property tucked away with a lovely enclosed shady garden. Inside it's immaculately clean with traditional furniture. The bathroom had shelves and a freestanding oak cupboard for all your bathroom bits - a real treat, most places don't even have a shelf leaving you scrabbling about in your wash kit! Everything thing was done to a high standard. It has a sea view from the patio. The walls to the enclosed garden were stone built and Tono has done a great job throughout. Both Tono and Melinda were great hosts. Tono met us in the village and lead us to the property. S'Ambrgio is a lovely village with a couple of restaurants and a great base for visiting Cefalu and the Parco Madonne. Tono has built another property above. It has 3 bedrooms and is built to Toni's high standards. The stone work is a work of art! It's furnished in a modern chic style and I would recommend a stay at either property depending on your requirements.

Excellent and impressive

The hosts are so friendly and welcoming. Their handsome son Marco is a gem who gave us lots of tips for touring around. CefalĂč is a great place and Sant Ambrogio is much better. Sehr schöne und "ambitionierte" Wohnung mit netten Vermietern

Die Wohnung ist Teil eines Hauses im noch ziemlich "ursprĂŒnglichen" Dorfambiete, Einrichtung, Sauberkeit und Lage wunderschön. Melinda und Antonio sind sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Herrliche Aussicht aufs Meer, im Ort um die Ecke eine Bar, eine Osteria und neuerdings auf der Piazza mit Außenterasse eine Pizzeria. Die Madonie ist schnell zu erreichen: ein "Muss"! Tipps geben die Vermieter, Material fĂŒr Touren gibt es im Haus. Schön auch der eigene kleine Garten. Insgesamt absolut empfehlenswert (auch vom Preis-LeistungsverhĂ€ltnis her).

Eine wunderschöne Wohnung, liebevoller Garten und ein Vorplatz (Essplatz) mitten im Ort. Einziges Mango, dass die HĂ€user nah beieinander stehen und durch offene Fenster GerĂ€usche der Nachbarwohnungen wahr nimmt. Es fehlen noch LiegestĂŒhle, aber ich denke, da trifft man bei den sehr netten Vermietern sicher auf offene Ohren.

Perfect

A great location in a quiet village, two bars, supermarket and two restaurants within a two minutes walk from the apartment. The apartment is very well equipped, everything you need is provided. Melinda and Toto are great, extremely helpful and a great sense of humor, nothing is too much trouble. Sunsets from the restaurant below the apartment are fantastic, Saro in the bar makes the best granita around. We have already reserved the apartment for next year.

Herzlich, hervorragend, sehr, sehr angenehm

Eine nette, gemĂŒtliche, saubere Wohnung mitten im sizilianischen Leben! Melinda und Antonio sind sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Der kleine schattenspendende Garten ist ein herrlicher Ruheort. Wenige Schritte zu Bar Belvedere (viele GrĂŒĂŸe an Saro!), nebenan eine hervorragende Osteria, nur wenig weiter ein Alimentari. Wir waren erstaunt ĂŒber die Freundlichkeit der Bewohner von Sant' Ambrogio! Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohl gefĂŒhlt und sind mit einem kleinen TrĂ€nchen im Auge wieder nach Hause gefahren.

Una perla in un luogo incantevole!

La casa Ăš bellissima, si accede mediante un'ampia vetrata scorrevole in una sala - cucina molto grande con televisore, divano letto e mediante una apertura, con la volta in pietra, si accede alla camera da letto preceduta dal bagno. Casa veramente bella e confortevole fornita di tutto (anche lavatrice) e pulitissima. All'esterno si trova un bellissimo spazio con tavolo e sedie con bellissime piante molto curate e c'Ăš anche un giardinetto arredato chiuso da una recinzione legno. La localitĂ  Ăš meravigliosa. La discesa dell'abitazione porta nel cuore del piccolo borgo di sant'Ambrogio, dove, su un magnifico Belvedere, ci sono i tavoli per la colazione e gli aperitivi sullo splendido tramonto di Sicilia dove gustare i cornetti, le granite e i gelati di Saro o una romantica cena presso l'Osteria Bacchus. È l'ideale per una vacanza rilassante, allegra o romantica che sia, fuori dal caos di CefalĂč, che comunque Ăš a cinque minuti di auto. La spiaggia sottostante Ăš di pietre e c'Ăš un lido attrezzato per chi desidera comoditĂ . Ma in dieci minuti di auto si raggiunge il Lido delle Salinelle, spiaggia sabbiosa e super attrezzata. È anche a due passi dal parco delle Madonie e in venti minuti si puĂČ arrivare a Castelbuono, meraviglioso paese in collina dove ristoranti e negozi sono aperti fino a tarda notte. Noi siamo state benissimo e non saremmo mai tornate! Ma senza il calore, la disponibilitĂ , i consigli e la discrezione di Antonio e Melinda, che ci hanno sempre assistito, dal trasporto delle nostre pesantissime valigie, alle indicazioni su dove mangiare o fare la spesa, che ci hanno offerto i fichi appena colti e con i quali spesso abbiamo fatto due chicchere mentre eravamo in relax nello splendido giardino, sempre con la massima discrezione, la nostra vacanza non sarebbe stata splendida e intensa come l'abbiamo vissuta e come e la ricordiamo con immensa nostalgia!
