Nestled in greenery, in a very quiet area of Chartres, on the upper part of the hillside on the right bank of the Eure River, this bright and airy apartment, classified as a city break by GĂźtes de FranceÂź, offers a magnificent view of the old town and the cathedral. The furnishings and decor are of high quality, with an emphasis on bio-sourced materials (wood, wood wool, cellulose wadding, natural linoleum, water-based paint, rainwater harvesting system, etc.). The apartment is served by bus line 2 (supermarket in Champhol, city center, train station, and hospital); free public parking is available directly opposite.
The interior layout is accessible to people with reduced mobility. A 15 mÂČ terrace extends from the apartment, allowing guests to enjoy the view and the sun; a fenced and flower-filled garden with a shaded lawn completes the property. Parking for one vehicle on the property is only permitted for people with reduced mobility; maneuvering may be difficult. Single-story, non-smoking accommodation. The host's home is adjacent to the gĂźte; access to the owner's garden is only permitted in the owner's presence, due to the presence of a water feature. Pets are not allowed: the presence of an assistance dog at the host's home limits the possibility of cohabitation with other animals; if Team's happens to visit you, you must prevent it from entering the cottage and not feed it, as Golden Retrievers are greedy; however, cuddles are welcome! The cottage, entirely on one level, has been adapted to accommodate a person with reduced mobility (accessible spaces, bathroom, walk-in shower, adapted sink and toilet).
However, an 8 cm step at the entrance and the slope of the pedestrian access on the property prevent it from obtaining the Tourism & Disability label from GĂźtes de FranceÂź. Developed in partnership with GĂźtes de FranceÂź, the price includes: bed linen for the stay (beds made upon arrival), and dish towels. The cottage is heated by electricity, and you have 8 kWh per day available (any excess consumption must be paid on site to the host). End-of-stay cleaning is not included and is an optional extra; whether or not the tenant chooses the cleaning option, they are expected to empty the rubbish bins, wash and put away the dishes, vacuum, give the bathrooms a basic clean, and tidy the furniture.
