Eden Cabin Wooded Tiny Cabin Close to Downtown
Summary:
Like all of our Wauhatchie Woodlands cabins, Eden Cabin is a rustic getaway at the foot of Lookout Mountain. Eden offers a private hot tub, furnished back deck, covered front deck with a charcoal grill, and a community fire pit just across the street. It accommodates 6 guests and has a main bedroom, a sleeping loft, and built-in bunk beds.
The Space:
Wauhatchie Woodlands is a family-owned collection of quaint, tiny-home, rustic-comfort log cabins on a 14-acre wooded property surrounded by National Park land. This natural setting is nested less than a mile from the city with quick access to downtown Chattanooga, Ruby Falls, Lookout Mountain, and the surrounding area.
Named after Frank & Nicole's daughter, Eden Cabin is equipped with everything you could ever need to make the most of your time in Chattanooga.
Eden is one of our bunk bed cabins, perfect for families. During your stay, you’ll enjoy a private hot tub, furnished back deck, fire pit, covered front porch with charcoal grill, and an incredibly memorable, charming space surrounded by nature. Eden can comfortably sleep up to 6 guests between the main bedroom, built in bunk beds, and sleeping loft. The cabin is equipped with a full kitchen, smart TV, and more.
Starting from the back, you’ll find the fully furnished deck, surrounded by decades-old trees, there awaits a space of pure relaxation, your private hot tub, with easy access to the main bedroom. Just beside the cabin is the shared fire pit and pavilion, perfect for fireside chats and evening s'mores. Firewood can be purchased on-property.
Inside, the main bedroom hosts a queen bed, closets for hanging clothes, lots of drawer storage, and a Smart TV. Just outside the bedroom are the built in bunk beds across from the full bathroom with bathtub.
A step further we enter the kitchen, fully stocked for cooking/dining with an electric range, microwave, stove, full-size fridge, dishwasher, and all the dishes you need to whip up a vacation feast. The living room and kitchen feature an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings with the main TV across from the sofa.
Up the staircase is the sleeping loft equipped with two twin beds. Kids will love having their own space. For grownups, clearance in the loft is low, just 4' - it’s perfect for sleeping, just watch your head when you get up.
The cabin’s covered front porch with dining set is the perfect place for a morning cup of coffee, or grilling out on your dedicated charcoal grill (charcoal not include).
Chattanooga is a city known for its railroads. There are active train tracks that border the property to the north and I-24 is about half a mile away. Please note that light sleepers may be affected by the ambient city and train noise. Each cabin has been equipped with a white noise machine to help minimize any disturbance.
We are pleased to allow dogs at Eden Cabin, under specific terms and conditions. See our house rules/notes for more information.
Pack ‘n Play Travel cribs are available upon request.
Sprout General Store recently opened on the Wauhatchie Woodlands grounds. Grab a coffee (fueled by Roasted Root Cafe) to start your morning, treat yourself to ice cream, pick up a map with activity ideas, and browse Timberroot merch and local goods—everything you need is within just steps of your cabin.
To make sure your stay at Wauhatchie Woodlands is perfect, our locally based Guest Services representatives are on-call from 8:30 am to 11:30 pm, seven days a week.
Guest Access:
You’ll have your cabin all to yourself during your stay. Wauhatchie Woodlands is a 14-acre property surrounded by National Forest. Guests have access to trails around the grounds, as well as shared pavilions, community fire pits, and playground. Please be respectful of other guests during your stay.
The Neighborhood:
Wauhatchie Woodlands sits in Lookout Valley, a scenic pocket of Southeast Tennessee tucked between the Tennessee River and the base of Lookout Mountain. It’s close enough to Chattanooga to explore, yet far enough to feel like you've escaped the hustle and bustle of the city. Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center is nestled right at the base of the mountain with 12 miles of hiking trails and canoe rentals to paddle scenic Lookout Creek. Those trails connect directly up the mountain, where Rock City, Ruby Falls, Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park, and Raccoon Mountain Caverns round out the adventure. When you're ready for a bite or a night out, downtown Chattanooga is only minutes away.
There’s a lot happening in and around Lookout Mountain this summer. Rock City is running a season-long America 250 celebration featuring new art installations, mountaintop music, and Americana-themed events. The new Erlanger Park is only minutes away, where the Chattanooga Lookouts are playing their inaugural season with themed nights, fireworks, and live music all summer. Free concerts downtown run every Friday night at Nightfall in Miller Plaza through July 31, and every Saturday at Riverfront Nights at Ross’s Landing through September 5. Wauhatchie Woodlands is a perfect home base for all this summer fun!
Getting Around:
To make the most of your stay, we recommend a car to get around. Each of our tiny cabins can accommodate two cars in private driveways.
UBER and Lyft are available throughout the Chattanooga area, in addition to a number of local taxi services. Please note that availability may be extremely limited during peak times.
The city of Chattanooga offers reasonably priced parking on the street and in several public parking lots.
A free electric shuttle bus runs between the Chattanooga Choo Choo and the Tennessee Aquarium with stops at every block. The buses run every 15 minutes, Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 10 pm, Saturday from 9:30 am to 11 pm, and Sunday from 9:30 am to 8:30 pm. Bus schedules may vary, please consult the Chattanooga Area Regional Transit Authority website for the most up to date schedules.
