The service was amazing, the food at the pub was great (especially the lemon meringue cheesecake!), the only thing that really let this place down was the rock hard bed. I have osteoarthritis in my hip and he’s beds equals chronic pain and zero sleep for me. Such a shame as everything about the stay was perfect!

It’s ok, would use again

Clean and pleasant enough, warm weather could have done with a fan in the room. Had to order breakfast at check in which I always find a little strange.

Nice place with lovely staff, questionable heating

A lovely pub & hotel with good food and very attentive staff. The room was recently refurbished and was very comfortable. The only negative was that the room was cold. I raised this with reception who said they would press the boost? The heating came on for a bit and then went off again. Again I spoke to reception (I’m not particularly fussy but my hands were actually cold) and they repeated that someone will press the boost. Not ideal on a cold night. Breakfast was lovely though.

Fabulous Country Hotel

Fabulous country Hotel down a twisty lane. Very welcoming Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely room comfortable bed. Big bathroom with walk in shower .Nice big restaurant and bar plenty to choose from the menu portions are very big tho. Breakfast was good . Highly recommend this hotel good value.

Great food and hospitality

Nice room with all the basics you’d expect. Very hearty traditional food, great staff who are very friendly. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay here for any more trips to the area.

Great staff and a good breakfast.

An EV charger would be beneficial. Staff are pleasant and breakfast was great. Nice rooms with slightly dodgy water pressure on the shower but not bad. Really comfy bed and would definitely recommend.

A nice place to stay on the A1M

A bery comfortable stay. TV reception needs sorting out. If you don’t like ITV then tough! Not many other channels available.
