Staying at Great Wolf Lodge was a good experience overall. Our family enjoyed it and decided to stay an additional day. There are some things to be aware of. Anything outside of having a room to sleep in and going to the water park seen to be all about taking as much money from guests as possible. I completely understand the business aspect of this, but it is just blatantly in your face obvious. Want to park your car? $19. Want to get pizza for dinner with the Fam? $23 for what you might normally consider a medium at Dominoes, etc. Want a fountain drink with that? $3.59 and it comes with a code to scan to limit you to just 16 oz. And, don't count on the machine to actually count accurately. My 16 oz cup half full of ice barely filled over halfway before the machine cut off and said I got all I was allowed. Don't even think about refilling it! Mini golf is $7/person. Not too bad, but I'm not sure why? I would feel much better about this if I paid a little extra to stay here and didn't get hit with charges for every little thing. Just makes me want to go off-site for anything else.

The check in experience was terrible. The front desk clerk did not know much about the packages offered by the hotel. The touchscreen kiosk was not user friendly and we go little to non help or direction from the dedicated front desk clerk. The beds has blood stains and the A/C was not working. Overall, for the amount I payed to stay, I’d much rather selected a good Four Star Hotel. I will never come back to be a customer of this franchise.
