Charming cottage in great neighborhood...close to downtown, fort and university
Located in a great neighborhood area that is convenient to downtown, this 700+ square foot cottage is a great place to stay for University of South Carolina visits, business and leisure. The decor is eclectic with items of interest that will make you feel as if you are a character in a romance novel. It is convenient to Columbiaâs universities, nightlife, restaurants, shopping and arts.
My sister and a friend stayed at the cottage and explored antique and thrift stores. Great location for food and shopping. After a full day of retail therapy, we relaxed and played cards on the beautiful dining room table. The owner has a true gift for decorating and the house was very clean. This is our 2nd time renting there and look forward to a 3rd.
This is a great cozy house to stay. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We visited the area to go to Fort Jackson and it was only 10 minutes away. Would definitely stay again.
The property is gorgeous! The backyard is like a fairy garden and is fenced in. There are little touches everywhere that are just gorgeous. The light that comes in during the day is so pretty. if there was one downside, it was the storage there is a lot of storage there. Itâs just thatâs already got stuff in it, but that was so insignificant compared to this day itself, and the host The host was absolutely incredible. She was so attentive and accommodating. I really have not met a nicer host in my entire life.
The cottage was ok to stay in. However it should have been about half the cost. The bathroom was really unacceptable. Don't trust the pictures. The toilet and sink almost touch each other. The cottage smelled musty. The kitchen was under equipped and most of the cookware that we took out to cook with was dirty. We had to go out and buy a scrubby as owner did not provide.
The owner should consider lowering their nightly rate to about 1/2 the price.
Loved this little cottage that is exactly as advertised! My mom and I were attending my son's graduation at Fort Jackson, which is so simple to get to from the cottage. We loved looking at the owner's vast collection of books. It was obvious that she takes pride in this lovely home. The neighborhood is adorable. I only wish we had more time to explore it. I would absolutely return!
We stayed at this cozy cottage for one night during a bike race. Everything was perfect! Hots was amazing and allowed us to have an early check-in and return to pick up items that we forgot :) 5/5 stars!
We came for our daughterâs 21st birthday, she is a student at USC. Cottage is cute, lots of trinkets in house. Mattresses were a little uncomfortable.
Great location and nice neighborhood
We stayed here for our daughterâs graduation from basic training, and when we brought her to see it, she said, âItâs the first time in months that Iâve been in a place that feels like Iâm actually home.â Indeed, itâs adorable and comfortable. The owner was also exceptionally accommodating and kind.
We had a graduation at fort Jackson and it was a short easy drive from there. The rental had every thing we needed. It was our first time ever renting and the owner was very helpful. The cottage is comfortable and homey.
This was another enjoyable and pleasant stay at this property. The owner is very attentive and responsive and the property was well maintained as usual.
The home decor, cleanliness, privacy and serenity was delightful. My daughter immediately felt right at home and we were able to rest so well at night. I will definitely book this cottage again the next time I am visiting the area.
Would highly recommend anyone who's looking for a "Home away from Home" atmosphere to consider this cozy Cottage. My family and I were in the area for a military graduation and it provided us with our own space to chill for a few hours before he had to return to Base.
High Five!!!!!
