Beautiful Country Farm home to many rescue animals

This beautiful custom built French Cottage style home is located on a farm with 10 acres. Land adjoins Genesee County Parks property with direct access to the Holloway Reservoir and miles of trails and waterways. Walk the trail to the water or bring your water toys and enjoy this gorgeous, unique home. The kitchen is a cooks dream, the views are magnificent from every window. The master bath has a two person Jacuzzi tub and king sized bed with private sitting room. There are 2 wood burning fireplaces, large front covered porch and a massive deck. Situated on a farm with friendly animals to watch and enjoy. Fish, hike, boat, canoe, or just enjoy the wonderful company you will undoubtedly want to bring with you to experience this great country adventure. Close to Frankenmuth, Birch Run and 90 minutes from Detroit, this could become your home away from home for a week end or a week. Our low introductory pricing enables you to experience this lovely setting while we continue to work on the exterior of the home and farm property doing some updating and neglected maintenance. There are several beaches and boat landings for fishing, boating and swimming. We also have some yard toys including badminton, horseshoes, kayaks, etc. PLEASE FILL OUT THE RENTAL AGREEMENT IN ITS ENTIRETY and return it. Blank rental agreement does not constitute a "Reserved" date.

We absolutely loved our stay! Such a unique experience. It was like walking into your grandma's old farm house; eclectic but warm and cozy. We enjoyed sitting out on the front and back porch and taking it all in. Great kitchen setup and anything you need to care for family and guests while there. We appreciated having access to the grill as well. Our only issue was trying to balance or regulate the temperature between those sleeping upstairs (warm) and those sleeping in the basement (cold).Being entertained and greeted by all the animals made up for it all.

A lovely home on a working farm! Very unique enjoyable stay for our family of 5 and our dog. We all got to interact with turkeys, goats, ponies, horses, and a donkey! Never would have imagined that staying on a farm would interest us but it really was great. The biggest negative was waking early due to the noisy neighbor- the rooster. The other members of the family slept right through it. Plenty of seating and sleeping accomodations for larger groups. Beautiful windows looking out at the sunrise and deer playing in the back field. Thank you Maurine!

We enjoyed our stay so much. We were in town for a funeral and it was so nice to watch all of the animals during our sad time. Gathered over the thanksgiving weekend to host family. It was wonderful. Outdoors offered animals and adventures. Inside was comfortable and great for a large gathering. Wonderful home and setting. Huge kitchen and open living area. Perfect for cooking and entertaining.

This property was great for a family to stay and enjoy each other. I have stayed at many other places and have never had a kitchen so well stocked. We cooked every night and never had trouble finding what we needed. The animals made us smile everyday. I could not have asked for a better place.

The number and variety of animals is not emphasized enough. They're literally everywhere. We loved it. We were entertained enough just staying there at the property. The house is huge and very comfortable and there are nice big porches all around the house. The kitchen is enormous and open to the rest of the house so dinner was fun. The river is a short walk through the woods from the back of the property and there's a little dock with a bench perfect for fishing. Our host was very kind and accommodating. She made sure we had everything we needed. I wish we could have stayed longer. I really enjoyed it.

Beautiful, spacious property and home. Lots of sleeping arrangement options. Large kitchen, great for family cooking and conversation. If you are an animal lover, this is the place to be. We were welcomed in by a group of turkeys who visited frequently all weekend. Sally the goat was a constant friend as well. We also had a pony friend that came by the house from time to time. Lots of goats, horses, and cats to make friends with as well. We didn’t catch any fish, but had fun trying. Also enjoyed the nature, saw many bluebirds, cranes, and deer. Even saw a bald eagle. At night, we had lots of quality family and friend time by the campfire. This place combines a beautiful cozy home with all the benefits of the outdoors, making for a fun weekend with friends and family.

Very relaxing place to stay. Nine of us from 18 years to 70 years, we all enjoyed walking around and visiting with the animals. The star of the show was certainly Tina, the goat. She visited the front porch often. If we weren’t there to give her immediate attention, she would often just relax in the chair till we got there. We also walked back to the water a couple times. Saw several deer and a bench to watch the water. Clean and comfortable. Well stocked kitchen for fixing meals.

Home Away from Home

Maurine was wonderful. She was always available to answer questions. Her home is beautiful and so comfortable. This was a unique opportunity to interact with all of the rescue animals that are all so well cared for. We are looking forward to staying again in the future. Perfect - Even Better Than Hoped For!!

Such a great property! My kiddo was in heaven with all the friendly animals (we were too)! And the house - is Amazing! So many beautiful areas to sit and visit - inside and out! The beds were comfortable, the atmosphere was relaxing. Maurine was extremely responsive, friendly and helpful! The extra thought with the shampoo and conditioner, plenty of linens, condiments in the fridge (on top of a fully stocked kitchen!), the firewood. It felt like a family member had prepared ahead for us to visit. We definitely hope to stay here again in the future! So highly recommended!

50th Birthday on the farm

Maurine was a fantastic host! Her farm was everything as described and it provided the perfect getaway for friends celebrating a 50th birthday. The home was beautiful and had everything needed
the eclectic decor added to the charm! The animals were so fun to watch and you never knew who was going to greet you when you walked out.

Great stay on the Farm

What a sweet find. Couldn't have been any nicer! The farmhouse was perfect and all the rescue animals were wonderful. Realize this property might not be for everyone but for our extended weekend we couldn't have chosen a better spot. Maurine was wonderful to work with and everything was perdect from beginning to end.

Perfect place for a planning retreat

A church staff planning retreat for our Christmas events for next year. It was the perfect place and everything we needed. Love also the animals and while it was bitter cold and snowing all week not just the view was incredible but the animals were still all around the property. It was a winter wonderland and wonderful animals just made it that much better. Its definitely a place we can highly recommend.

Christmas on the farm

We needed a place for our three families to gather (total of eight adults and three teenagers) for Christmas as our home is under construction. The house was decorated and even a Christmas tree was up and decorated. overall, a great traditional Christmas feel to it, Moreen when the extra mile for our stay. But the hidden bonus was morning reveille the Roster provided, wishing us a Merry Christmas. Thank You Moreen we had a wonderful Christmas at your home.

Perfect Place for the Event

The property is fairly remote, which, to me, is especially nice! It was very welcoming and cozy. Maurine is a wonderful hostess meeting our needs and offering horse rides for my two grandkids. I was here for my dad's funeral. So, all the animals and comfort of the home were very nice. I loved our stay and would definitely recommend this beautiful place.
