Nice stay, friendly staff

Our room at the Hostal Rural Gloria was clean and comfortable, and a bargain for the price. Our host was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint was that the room was located just above the main street in town so when a large truck or bus went by, you couldn’t ignore it. Luckily, Los Baños is a rather sleepy place and there was very little traffic. Getting something to eat was a bit of a challenge because we were there on a Monday and the restaurants were closed (we did not have a car). We were able to find a small market. The owners also rent some cave apartments located a few blocks away that were quite nice.
