Whether you’re sipping coffee on the porch, stargazing by the firepit, or floating peacefully down the creek, The Bear Snores On is the perfect mountain getaway for relaxation, play, and everything in between.



The Space:

What you’ll love about this cabin:

* Room for everyone: 3 King bedrooms with ensuite baths + a loft with 2 sets of twin-over-twin bunk beds (sleeps up to 10).

* Coffee bar & comfort: Start your mornings with fresh coffee, unwind in bed with your favorite show (every bedroom has a mounted TV), and spread out in style.

* Outdoor living at its best: Covered porch seating, screened-in dining porch, hot tub, grilling station, high-top dining table, and a wood-burning firepit with Adirondack chairs.

* Creekside fun: Relax in the hammock by the creek, grab a tube (provided!) to float right from the property, or let the kids play on the private playground.

* Games & activities for all ages: Ping pong table, cornhole boards, and even a kids’ baseball field in the front yard.

* Pet friendly: Bring your furry friends along (pet fee applies).

* Plenty of parking: Spacious gravel lot with room for multiple cars.

* Downtown Gatlinburg is just a 35-40 minute drive.



You’ll be just 10 minutes from the Cosby entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, one of the park’s most scenic and less-crowded gateways. From here, you can access beautiful hiking trails, picnic areas, and mountain streams without the hustle of Gatlinburg traffic.



For adventure, head to:

* Big Bear Rafting – 20 min away

* Midnight Hole hiking trail – 35 min away, 3 mile hike featuring a swimming hole and 20-ft cliff jump



Guest Access:

Guests have full access to the entire cabin and all outdoor spaces, including the creek, firepit, playground, hot tub, and game areas.

Plenty of private parking is available right on-site.

Cosby is a peaceful mountain town that puts you close to nature while still keeping essentials nearby:

* Dollar General – 7 min

* Walmart – 15 min

* Janice’s Diner – 9 min (country home cooking for breakfast/lunch)



Restaurant recommendation: The Greenbrier - 34 min drive (20.9 miles)



Downtown Gatlinburg is just 35–40 minutes away, with endless dining, attractions, and shops. Local favorites include:

* Smoky Mountain Brewery (pizza)

* Cherokee Grill (steakhouse)

* Park Grill (fine dining + biggest salad bar)



Getting Around:

The best way to get around during your stay is by car. Our cabin offers plenty of private parking on-site, and having a vehicle makes it easy to explore Cosby, Gatlinburg, and the nearby Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Rideshares and taxis are limited in this area, so we strongly recommend driving for the most convenient experience.



Other Things to Note:

Pet friendly for a fee – please let us know if you’re bringing a furry friend! Pets are not allowed on the furniture.

Tubes are provided for creek floating, but swimming/creek activities are at your own risk.
