How close is Ocean Views, BBQ, Bikes, Games: Selah Beach Home to the airport?
This vacation home is 1.7 mi (5-min drive) away from the Crescent City, CA (CEC-Del Norte County) airport, the closest popular airport to the property.
This home was a great location for our short stay. We walked to pebble beach and were only an easy 30 minute drive from The Grove of Titans walk in the redwoods. The kitchen was well appointed, the beds were very comfortable, and the yard was beautiful. I appreciated that they had beach towels to use and laundry on site. Check in is a little later and check out is a little earlier than most other places so keep that in mind for travel plans. There are options to check in early for a fee. The host was very communicative and helpful. We would stay here again.
The house was clean. The proximity to the beach was excellent. The view from the upstairs deck was lovely. Communication with the host was great. We loved walking to the beach. And exploring the rocky areas at the beach during low tide (search the internet low tide times each day) was one of my favorite things to do. We saw so many starfish and crabs. The house is very large with plenty of room to spread out. Take a close look at the bed configuration if you plan on having a large group (not an issue for us, as we only used half the bedrooms.) The living room photographs well, but would be more useful if furnished with something comfortable instead. If you plan to use the kitchen to cook meals, I recommend taking stock of the kitchen to make sure you have everything needed. We found it lacking several things we consider basics, like a pasta strainer, or baking sheet large enough for a pizza. And the refrigerator is a smaller apartment size fridge. The listing says bikes and arcade. The bikes are a couple of small children's bikes. The "arcade" is a den with boardgames. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, and would come back.
For our family the home was perfect, the views of the ocean were spectacular! The kids enjoyed walking on the beach once or twice a day. The home had an older surfer theme with lots of bright colors and memorabilia. It was the best place to stay, close to restaurants, the aquarium, stores for added comfort things and everything else we needed was provided. Well stocked full kitchen and bathrooms. Would highly recommend this place for families.
House is in a great location for local beach access, views, grocery shopping, eating and 20 mins to Trees of Mystery and 10 mins to the start of the road to Grove of Titans. House has many amenities. Definitely a rental. And ask for what you might need for cooking to make sure it is stalked.
Let me start by saying the place has a beautiful view and is just steps from the ocean. We could hear the sea lions, and the sunsets were fabulous. The location is truly wonderful.
Very cool mid-century-style house just off the beach and near a great walk/overlook to tide pools. Beds were comfortable, showers were great, and the kitchen was very clean and functional. Itâs not brand-new, but it doesnât feel worn or shabbyâjust charming, spacious, and clean. Plenty of space if you plan to stay longer than a quick overnight.
We had a wonderful stay! The host provided clear instructions and was super responsive, making our experience seamless. The place was exactly as described and conveniently located near the beach we couldnât have asked for more!
Our stay was quick and easy. Selah's place was perfect for what we needed. We had some issues with the heater and TV, but we called, and help arrived right away to resolve everything.
This house was a great base for our vacation to explore the Redwoods. The proximity to the beach was perfect, with a great ocean view from the deck off the upstairs bedrooms. We had plenty of space for our whole family to spread out. While we didnât cook much, the kitchen appeared to be well-stocked. Everything was clean and as described. We had a small snafu with the door code, but it was quickly resolved with excellent communication.Favorite places and must-see stops include Kin Khao Thai Eatery, Sea Front Baking Company, SeaQuake Brewing, and Fishermanâs Restaurant in town, as well as Trees of Mystery a bit up the road. Be sure to visit the lighthouse at low tide, watch the sea lions on the floating docks behind Chart Room Restaurant, and explore the tide pools along the beaches.
This house was great for our family meet-up. Our group of eight had plenty of room. The kitchen was well equipped, there were plenty of bathrooms, and the large dining table was great for meals together. The location is excellent right across the street from one of the best tide pools weâve visited along the California coast.
