Please remove this motel from your list, Travelocity! I hesitate to leave a poor review for a small business, but this was a scary experience. I chose this motel because it's close to a work event I needed to attend the next day. I'm not familiar with Dallas, and I had no idea how sketchy the area was. People were hanging around outside, my deadbolt didn't work, and I felt very unsafe (one man was yelling something at me from the second story walkway as I entered my room). I went back to reception within minutes of arriving to request a room change because of the inoperable deadbolt (I tried to call from my room first, but the listed phone number was disconnected), but the attendant had posted a sign indicating that he had gone to dinner and would return in 30 minutes. I left in a Lyft within 45 minutes of arriving. I informed Travelocity immediately upon checking into my new and improved hotel. The attendant told the agent I'd been there for four hours, and he refused to give me a refund. Travelocity issued me a credit for the amount I paid. P.S. The Lyft driver who brought me to the new hotel told me Dallas Love Field Inn/Knights Inn is known for drugs and sex workers. I live in a giant city and generally don't have fear of people or environments. I get that a need exists for cheap motels like this, but they shouldn't be listed among the more reputable options, in my opinion.
