Daufuskie Island Cottage Historic District

Escape your routine....catch the ferry from Hilton Head, SC. Enjoy quiet & tranquility. This 2 BR, 2 BA cottage sits on one of the island's unpaved roads near the Iron Fish Art Gallery, and Daufuskie Rum Distillery. A short golf cart ride away is Bloody Point, public beach, Melrose and Frye’s Corner Restaurant. Visit the Daufuskie Farmers Market on Saturday.

The interior is decorated with vibrant colors for a cheerful, airy feel. The kitchen & living room are upstairs with numerous picture windows to take in the wooded views. The bedrooms are downstairs. One has a queen size bed and the other has full-size bunk beds.

While you will feel a million miles away from the hustle & bustle of every day living, you can connect when you need to with the wireless internet. We have high speed internet so you can connect to the world or work remotely if needed. Stream shows and movies through NetFlix or Amazon Prime and You Tube TV.

Cottage Rental does not include golf cart rental or ferry transportation. Golf Cart Rental Company will arrange the golf cart rental for you.

The place is nestled in a quiet place on the island. You are about 10 minutes from the beaches. The owner stocked the place with the necessities you will need. There is a lot of history on the island and restaurants around. In fact their is a breakfast place down the road from the cabin, named Driftwood. Really enjoyed our stay.

First time to the island and we love Daufuskie!

This was our first trip to Daufuskie and we loved our stay! Jay was a wonderful host and quick to reply to all of our questions! Everything we needed was available for our stay. Only tip I have for guests has nothing to do with the home or the island, but with the Lowcountry Ferry we took from Hilton Head to Daufuskie and back. The passenger fee for the ferry is fair, but the cost to bring supplies (groceries, bikes, extra luggage) was very expensive - much much more than advertised by the ferry service. They weigh all luggage before loading it onto the ferry and charge by weight. Before our visit, Jay recommended several other ferry options. So, if you’re planning on bringing additional supplies you may be better off using one of the other ferry services recommended by Jay. We will choose a different ferry for our next stay. Thank you, Jay! We enjoyed our stay and are already planning our next trip back to Daufuskie!

Labor Day Weekend at Templeton's

We loved our stay so much last year that we made sure we came back and booked Templeton's again. We love the cleanliness of the property and the ease of dealing with the host. The cabin has everything we need. Cannot wait to be back on Daufuskie again!

Lovely cottage

Thia was a perfect place to get away to! The cottage was clean and surprisingly stocked with anyrhing we needed. The porch off the living room made you feel like you were sitting in a treehouse! 100% would recommend staying here while visiting Daufuskie.

Wonderful time

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was easy to get to the beach with a golf cart. There was plenty to do! The house was well equipped with everything we needed. I do recommend bringing in plenty of food as the General store is limited. Will stay here again! The beach was not crowded and everyone was friendly. The house was perfect for us and we brought 4 kids. Really enjoyed this peaceful trip as the house was quite private. Never ran into anyone. Absolutely loved it!

Great Experience!

I can’t say enough good things. We came in July. It was me and my husband and our two boys ages 5 and 9. The cottage was cute, clean, and conveniently located close to many of the attractions on the island. The owners had so many things available to enhance your comfort. They have beach towels, beach chairs, sand castle stuff. They thought of everything. We will definitely be back.

This was our first trip to the island and we LOVED it there! This rental is very remote, with everything you need for relaxing by the fire or by the beach! It was very clean and beautifully decorated. Highly, highly recommend.
