Front Desk and Manager are well trained with rehearsed sentences why it is your fault you did not get the room you reserved and confirmed twice. It is your fault they are understaffed; Lots of finger pointing and well versed excuses.

Worst night sleep

When we checked in, our first room was on the 3rd floor, the neighboring guest was making loud banging noises every 5 minutes, so we asked the front desk if they could ask them to keep it down. Front desk knocked on his door and asked him to keep it down and he became angry, argued with the hotel staff and slammed the door. The hotel staff felt it was best we moved rooms and moved us to the first floor. Every train that went by in the night, vibrated the building. We could hear guests mumbling voices through the walls and every step the room made above us. For a newly constructed hotel, I can honestly say the sound deadening was left out of construction on this hotel. I have stayed at many many Holiday Inn's but never one as loud as this one. I will say it is a beautiful hotel but that doesn't do much for me if I can't sleep.
