The Hotel Melrose
"I booked the hotel based on the photos - liked the decor - and the fact it is located downtown. I named the hotel "the robot hotel", because there are no humans present, no front desk, etc. You do everything digitally, and use your phone to register, open all doors - in/out/room, and text or call ..."

The Hotel Melrose
"I booked the hotel based on the photos - liked the decor - and the fact it is located downtown. I named the hotel "the robot hotel", because there are no humans present, no front desk, etc. You do everything digitally, and use your phone to register, open all doors - in/out/room, and text or call for any needed assistance. I'm not gonna lie, I was annoyed that there are no luggage carts and there are steps to get into the property. I was already assigned to a room, first floor, which I hate - although it was a good thing as I had a large bag (two week trip to different temperature areas), and there is no elevator to the second floor. My in-room safe did not work, and I wasted time on the phone with the customer service person before giving that up. There is no ice machine, although they do leave a small bag of ice in the fridge at check in. The Melrose is cute, clean, hip, well -located, there is a fun outdoor patio area, a bar attached, and there is parking in a pay lot next door. Truthfully, it was a fun experiment, but give me a human on site."
