The location of Burj Residences is excellent—just a short walk to the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, and the fountain. The apartment matches the photos and includes all the listed amenities. However, the check-in process was not smooth due to a miscommunication between the front desk and the owner. There was also a strong, unpleasant odor coming from the powder room drain, which lingered throughout our stay and forced us to keep that door closed the entire time. The property requires better maintenance overall. We were not informed that the neighboring unit was undergoing heavy construction, which made the apartment nearly uninhabitable during the day due to constant drilling noise. Had we known in advance, we would have likely canceled the reservation. Although the management offered to move us after we sent a recording of the noise, it was too little, too late. Additionally, while the washer worked, the dryer did not function during our stay. Communication with the host or property manager was only available via chat, and responses were often delayed. For example, when one of the outlet lines tripped and the WiFi went down, we reached out for assistance but didn’t hear back until much later—by which point we had already resolved the issue ourselves by resetting the switch in the junction box. In summary, the location and layout were great, but the stay was affected by poor maintenance and delayed communication. Next time, I’d stay in the same area—but not in this apartment.
