Penthouse review: Pros and Cons
Our family had the opportunity to stay in this holiday penthouse for two weeks in April. While we had a nice time, we encountered some issues with the property that need to be addressed. Overall, we feel that the property is overpriced.
Let me start by listing the pros and cons we noted during our stay:
Pros:
The penthouse has an amazing view of the marina.
The penthouse is very spacious.
The kitchen is well equipped.
Communication with the agent/owner online was always quick.
The agent/owner offered for us to stay in another apartment free of charge while we waited for our check-in to the penthouse, which was very generous.
Bathroom rugs were changed within 24 hours of our request.
Beds and towels were clean.
All house equipment was working perfectly.
The pools and gym facilities were working perfectly.
There was perfect water pressure everywhere.
There was an automatic curtain remote control.
Cons:
The AC was not working in the living room, which was uncomfortable, especially on three very hot days.
The AC in one bedroom was extremely loud, leading to sleepless or sweaty nights.
The main entrance door lock of the apartment was defective and only closed if another key was inserted in the lock from inside, causing inconvenience.
The curtains were dirty all over, which did not match the view.
The kitchen door had a key but no lock, so we were unable to close the door from the terrace, which made us feel intimidated at night.
The agent/owner with whom we had communicated never showed up, which did not help our feeling of comfort and hospitality.
The neighbors above were very noisy at night, but the ceiling noise transitions worked perfectly.
The bathroom lock in the master bedroom was not working.
Neither us nor the assistant were able to set up Netflix or any normal TV channel on the TV in the living room, so the TV was practically unusable.
The toilet rugs were disgustingly old and used (however, they were changed when we asked for it).
The kitchen was totally separated, which for us was not an advantage.
In summary, while the penthouse has some advantages, such as an amazing view of the marina, spaciousness, and a well-equipped kitchen, the numerous cons we encountered make us feel that the property is overpriced. For the amount of money we paid for our two-week stay, we expected a higher-quality apartment and a more comfortable experience.
