Bedroom 2: Zip And Link 2 x Single (3ft) Beds. Electic heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner provided. Travel cot, highchair, stairgate and fire guard available on request.. Enclosed garden with sitting-out area, garden furniture and chiminea. Private parking off road for 2 cars.. Goose Cottage is a delightful terraced, converted stone steading, situated in the countryside within the heart of West Lothian. This is a fantastic location giving you wonderful countryside views, overlooking rolling fields but also with easy access to public transport and motorways to explore further afield. Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling are a half hour drive away and Perthshire can be reached within an hour. The cottage is attractively presented, with good attention to detail. The living room has a leather sofa and two easy chairs. The living area and kitchen are open plan and boasts a wood burning stove. A picture window looks out into the west facing courtyard. The fully fitted kitchen is well equipped and from here there is access onto the private, fully enclosed east facing garden. The garden is very private and peaceful with a chiminea for evenings toasting marshmallows! Both first floor bedrooms are beautifully coordinated and have coombed ceilings with velux windows. This lovely cottage sits in a quiet converted steading and is only a short drive from shops and restaurants.

Had a lovely stay at Goose Cottage. We were met on arrival by Lisa who was very helpful with advice about the cottage and local area. She also went to the trouble of looking for local EV chargers for us, which was much appreciated. The cottage had everything that we needed and a nice welcome pack. The creaking stair case made nocturnal trips downstairs interesting but wouldn’t put us off returning. Great location for getting around, The Kelpies and Queensferry only around 30 minutes away by car and Edinburgh is a short train journey which was cheaper than paying for parking. Would happily stay at Goose Cottage again.

We loved staying in Goose Cottage.

We loved staying in Goose Cottage. Great attention to detail. Lots of games and an endless supply of dvds for the evenings. It is in a secluded area with a totally private garden, but within easy reach of the town. We were left a lovely welcome pack which was appreciated. The cottage was scrupulously clean and welcoming.The bathroom is downstairs. The only downside was that the stairs are very creaky so visiting the toilet in the night was not a quiet affair for the other people sleeping.That said, I would definitely recommend this cottage. It is reasonably priced and in an ideal location for visiting Edinburgh and the surrounding area.
